Praying with Dog in House?

Asalaamu Alaikum dear brothers and sisters!

My Muslimah friend is out of town visiting some family in Los Angeles and they have a dog in their house and she needs to know if she can pray in a house where a dog is. It's not her house and the family in that house are not Muslim but I just want to know the rulings on this. I thought that since it's not her house and she's only visiting to check up on her mother who is very ill. She can't be punished or held accountable for this if it's not her dog or house for that matter right? But being the good, devoted Muslimah that she is, please, please help give some information regarding this.

I need to know ASAP please. The sister is waiting for my reply.

Please forgive me if I have made any mistakes or misconceptions in my post.

Wa salaam. :hijabi:

Prayer in a house where a dog lives is valid provided it does not touch the body of the praying person, his clothes or the place of the prayer with its saliva, urine, excretion or sweat. If something from those impurities touches him and he performs the prayers in that state knowingly then his prayers are islamicly invalid, so he has to repeat them.
