how many omras make up a hajj?

eg: i heard if someone does 2 omras, and never completed an actual hajj, the 2 omra will be counted as a hajj. so in other words 2 omras equal one hajj.

but than i learnt 'the hajj is accepted by completing Al Arafat' something like this.

can someone tell me please.

my sister is 15 she's done 2 omra's and so many people call her hajja because it equals one hajj. so i start calling her and im happy for her. but my someone told me no she is not hajja and we are not allowed to call her hajja.

I didnt heard of this and I dont think that is true!! and it cant be...
I have no proper evidence(daleel) to show you,but it doesnt make any sense....
If you have got the money you should go for Hajj(obligatory)and Hajj is intructed to do once(actually you wont need more)......and Hajj inolves many things, you'll not find in Umrah,so how come 2Umrah becomes Hajj

and Umrah is not like Hajj...you can do whenever you want....its like nafeelah(non obligatory) and Allah knows the best

and one thing, ppl around my contry use to use Alhah/haji before their name to show that they have done the Hajj...they are good ppl....blah blah...here they loose the proper cause of Hajj....may Allah guide them....so its not important to call one another with Haji/Hajja....Prophet SAWS also did the Hajj(Final Pilgrimage),do we call him Alhaj/Haji?? or we call any Khaleefa/Sahaba(may Allah be pleased with them all) Haji/Alhaj?
The thing we need to do that, got to find the pupose behind our works....that will help...inshaa;Allah...and Allah knows the best

thank you. i understand a bit.

my sister went to lebanon a month ago with my parents, then someone told them its really cheap if they go to the saudi Arabia from lebanon. my parents dont have much money and really wanted to go and do umrah. they have been to hajj about 2 years ago and it cost them $6000 per person ticket to go with group coz they didnt know what to do when they go there. they spent alot of money but said it was worth every cent because of the beauty and benefit of it. my point is, my sister really really wanted to go and they were told its for 10 days and will cost them i think $400 each. including hotel etc. so they went. when they finished the umrah requirements. then they did it again because they were really happy that they were there.

im not sure what it means to finish the umrah requirements and than do another umrah again. but thats what i was told.

so for this reason they are not able to afford actual hajj, i heard this year it may reach $10,000 or so per person to go in a group.

my parents are old, they have done hajj and so they thought there is nothing wrong with doing umrah considering they may not be able to get this opportunity again considering my young sister is with them.

but its not about my sister, its just something i want to know, if a certain amount of umrahs make up a hajj.

but i understand a bit now. thanks.

hope i can get more opinions.

salam.

i learnt this from the internet which is amazing and i didnt know how rewarding Umrah was. and it like the part i highlighted which proves the importance of umrah. not just hajj. hajj is very important to but its only offered to us once a year. i would like to share this with everyone. but please understand i still have not got my answer. how many umrahs make up one hajj or is there no such thing?
----------------------
Umrah is an act of worship. Allah says: (Perform the Hajj and Umrah for Allah…) (Al-Baqarah 2:196). We pray Allah to help us all perform Umrah in order to get its great reward as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said "The performance of Umrah is expiation for the sins committed between it and the previous ones. And the reward for Hajj Mabrur (pilgrimage accepted by Allah) is nothing but Paradise."

Umrah is sunnah or obligatory, every Muslim, who has the means to perform Umrah, should hasten to perform it to get the great reward it entails.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have performed four Umrahs.

The way one performs `Umrah is to enter the city of Makkah with ihram with the intention of `Umrah and then to perform circumambulation around the Ka`bah or Tawaf, and running or Sa`i between the mountains of Safa and Marwa, [and finally to shave or clip of one's hair].

This was the ancient practice from the time of Prophet Ibrahim (peace and blessings be upon him). Its purpose is to allow Muslims to visit the city of Makkah during the year whenever possible. It is to keep the Ka`bah visited not only during the Hajj but to keep it visited throughout the year by Muslims.

Yes alhamdulillah....doing Umrah is very rewardful....me too have done my Umrah....Alhamdulillah...thanks to Allah SWT.

Bro/sis I don know....but I think you didnt get me wrong....please,take my reply just as generous reply.
Yes when you do Umrah....we are getting the Extra Sawab of offering Salah In Masjid e haram and Masjid e nawawi....alhamdulillah.....again you'll get the boundless sawab of Tawaf.....May Allah SWT grant us all to do our best to perfor Hajj/Umrah...according to the financial status.

You,me and all are Talib ul Ilm.....

I'll be happy if my reply has helped you and I'd like to ask forgiveness if my reply hurt you...but I didnt meant anything else....may Allah make us help each other...

I think brother ayman! has given a right answer.....which had skipped by mistake...

lol. sister off course i forgive you, i dont understand, what did you do wrong or what did i say to make you think you said something wrong to me. lol. lol.
i am sorry myself. i only said about my sister and parents dont haven enough money coz to make things a bit clear why they didnt do hajj instead thats all, with no hard feelings or shame. no one asked me about this but i said it to make things clear. its like having a normal conversation for me and adding things extra.

i only put the post about details on umrah because i looked up on Internet to learn more about umrah as i dont know, and i want to tell my 15 year old sister what its about. i found it to be very nice and so beautiful and i didnt know the importance / benefits of it. i thought, probably someone else out there might not know this too so i thought i should post it for others to read. thats all. it wasnt directly for you. lol. silly me, i cant believe my post were so direct. lol.

i honestly did not mean to comment or argue my point or anything like that on your post. after all, im grateful you told me what you said, it helped me. and yes the post on brother ayman was very clear and also answered my question. thank you to all.

lol. when i type things sometimes, coz im not good at explaining things or how i put my conversation, i find the other person sometimes misunderstands me and my message looks like direct attack. lol. i really dont mean it like this.

im typing this up with a smile. no hard feelings. i never ever get upset from anyone, its not me. i asked for advise and you gave me yours so whats for me to attack? lol. no hard feelings sis. its just a misunderstanding from my side.

take care. salam to all. :muslim_child:
