In a word, no, a person who is illegitimate is sinless of their parents actions. They are different than you or I when it comes to being married to someone.

Nothing wrong with this child who wasn't born in halal marriage the mistake was done by the child parent.Moreover if this person is a muslim ofcourse to be marriage to a muslim is must!
And if a muslim person to choose beside a muslim to marry this person should make the non muslim to embrace Islam in order to halal the mariage!

someone i know said according to Islam a person who wasn't born in a halal marriage cant mary a muslim person? is such thing true?
