Now its time for you to prepare. InshaAllah, you too will feel impressed when you experience the bounties of month of Ramlaan
So here is the list of to do before Ramlaan arrives:
1. Learn about fasting , its rules , what invalidates it, conditions for women, patients and travellers, its virtues;
2. Learn about Ramlaan, the special prayers, the rewards for good deeds in this month, the nights of lailathul qadr.
3. Try some preparatory fasting (Voluntary ). Say, a total of 7-8 days with breaks in between. Remember you will be fasting from dawn break untill sunset. And number of hours will depend on the part of world you are in, during Ramlaan. Start with half duration, then proceed to fulfill. That way you know how your body responds, and your body would get used to fasting, by time Ramlaan arrives.

Also please know the days when it is forbidden to fast (applies to men) -- Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-Ul-Adha and if you are sacrificing an animal then three days after eid-ul-adha
