Salam u Alakum! I hope all my brother's and sisters are doing fine- I just wanted to remind you all of two things, that have been going around a lot latley- so I just wanted to put it out plainley- because I really don't think we should be wasting our time doing these bad things or discussing them- because we shouldn't be doing them in the first place! This website is for Islamic reasons, and what's going around right now is not only flrting and pressuring, but LOTS of discussing about it too. I want this to be the last thread about it.

1: PLEASE don't flirt on this site! Firstly, because this site is Islamic, and we should be modest-right? Sure there is friendly humor, I guess that's okay, but if you find yourself going on certain threads agai because your eager about what a certain brother/sister said about your post, stop right there. Remind yourself that you shouldn't be doing this. But don't assume straight away that if some one reply s on a thread more than twice- that they're doing that. Because- they might come back to clear confusion, or apolagize for anything offending that they said

Also, the Internet is a very dangerous place. Suicides, Homicides, sexual and verbal abuse, threats, stalking, etc. are all connected to the Internet. So please remember to be safe on here. NOBODY I'm sure, wants this site to be a playground for stalkers. Because someone who says they are a 20 year old woman could really be a 50 year old man, you never know.

2ncd: I know that although Islam IS perfect, not EVERYONE is too. That's okay, we all have our flaws. But we SHOULD NOT pressure people to turn Muslim. What kind of image does that give us to people that want to convert but are not sure- that we want power? We don't, and we have to prove that. Not everyone who is thinking about converting WILL convert, and we have to respect their choice, just like we have to respect others race, religon, etc. There is currentley a thread on there about Turkey banning the hijab. Why? Because the gov. there thought they could pressure people to become Muslim. Even if they suceeded, it would not we a good thing, because the people who converted would be forced, and actually have no intention of turning Muslim what-so-ever, and would hate Islam even more.

Can you please define flirting...Because i see nowadays that we often misunderstand it.

I could write a nice reply back to someone, does that mean im flirting with him?

or i could like a persons writing and i am eager to see his replies because i feel that i learn alot from him than i do from others, is that considered flirting? because i honestly do enjoy reading a couple of brothers and sisters thread, but i assume your talking about opposite sex. Ok lets stick to that...i do enjoy alot of brothers replies and threads and i feel i benifit alot from them Does that necessarly mean flirting?

I really cant understand your definition of flirting? because if flirting is liking the opposite sex intellectual and meaningful replies that you can relate to then being here is pointless and we should just stick to our own gender club, like the sisters should stick to sisters club and brothers should stick to brothers club.

If you seek knowlege, and good things from their posts- then no, it doesnt mean ur flirting- i doubt u'd ever do that- cause ur good through and through!:lol: i mean that if you want to see what he wrote so you could flirt with him more, or talk with him more- things like that- here i'll give u a example

because it still an issue. yes sister, they said that. do not send smiley to opposite gender. they didnt say you cant post on threads if there are other gender who started it, but if someone says no talking at all, then that should apply. yes stay in limits, little sister.

May Allah reward you well for your intention sister...but this topic is *already* discussed...and the thread was *closed* for a reason..everyone here is only pointing out *the heated debates* but nobody even thought to mention the fact that it became a *waste of time*..and a possible *distraction* from that which is good for us...

Look around TTI...and count the replies to threads...sobhanallah..when a brother or a sister posts a thread of Islamic information..it either goes ignored..or in *the best* of cases...it gets 2 to 3 replies with a quick *jazaka Allah khair*..and then it goes to the older pages only to be forgotten *for good*...but if someone posts a thread asking *how many pairs of jeans do you own?!*...within *hours*...the replies reach into the 30s or more!..and we see a plathora of descriptions and details about personal matters...

Allah (swt) says in the Qura'an...

"And He it is Who has put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember or desires to show his gratitude." [Al-Furqaan 25:62]

So why don't we show our gratitude to Allah by *learning* His deen..by enlightening ourselves with the wisdom of His Holy Book and His Prophet (saaws)?...and in that attain *rememberance* of our Rab and of that which might *insure* our akhirah as well! (if He sobhanaho wa taa'ala wills)...all it takes is just *recognition*...recognition of that which is of benefit..and that which is not..and realizing that when Allah (swt) says in the Qura'an...

"He it is Who has appointed for you the night that you may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily, in this are signs for a people who listen." [Yunis 10:67]

And again in Surat An-Nahil when He (swt) says...

"And He has subjected to you the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand." [An-Nahil 16:12]

That He (swt) has put these signs before us so we may venture into the depths *self-benefit* in its virtuous and balanced sense..

The warning-banner on the main forum pages suffices for the purpose described through its brief words...there is no need to further *elaborate*...even those amongst us who do not speak English as a first language can understand it as it is written inclear..direct..and simple words...

So please..let us bid this topic *farewell*...and pick up a book..or google an authentic article on a topic of *benefit* in the dunya and the akhirah!

May Allah pardon us and have mercy on all of us..Ameen
