Islam is Perfect
Empty Hands of a Rich Man

An Arabian brother from Montreal, Canada narrated the following heart softening story about his friend's father who was very rich. He owned many buildings and lot's of properties. When he attained old age, he became very sick and was counting his last days. Few days before his death, the old man kept on saying “Ana faqir, Ana faqir” which means, “I am poor, I am poor.”

When his visiting children saw this, they took him around and showed him all his properties to assure him that he wasn’t poor at all. But the old man kept on saying, “I am poor, I am poor.” His children became confused and brought a local Muslim Scholar to see their father.

After spending some time with the old man, the Scholar understood that the man is saying he is poor not regarding his wealth but regarding his good ‘amal (deeds). This is because most of his life was spent only in acquiring wealth and now that he was on his death bed, he realized that he should’ve given more time to Allah. When that person was dieing, he was still saying Ana faqir.

So much time has gone from our lives in useless matters. From now on, we should not even waste one minute without remembering Allah as every remembrance of Allah will increase our position in the hereafter.

So, why not be rich in the everlasting life?

Very true. This temporary life is of no use. Its a futile attempt in trying to acquire wealth and hoard it as some do. As we are all aware, we are not going to be questioned how much pounds/dollars we had in our bank accounts or how many properties we had all over the world, because if that were the case Pharown wouldn't be in the state that he is right now and until eternity.

Of course it is a different story altogether if we acquire wealth and spend it in the way of Allah Ta'allah, Islam and the Holy Prophet peace be upon him by building mosques, orphanages, or any instituitions that people will benefit from in an Islamic and educating way instead of numerous houses and buildings.

We will get questioned for every little thing that we have done in this life... therefore we should make our journey a very prosperous one and not have to regret in the end when our time will be over in this life and Allah Ta'allah calls us unto Himself.

Its not as hard as many "so called" Muslims have made it for themselves. The answer to success in this life is simply Taqwah: Remembering, loving, obeying and fearing Allah Ta'allah. Its this simple. If you constantly remember that Allah is above you and watching you all the time you will never commit a sin because of the fear of the wrath of Allah. Subsequently you will then obey Allah all the time without even realising it. By becoming an obedient slave of Allah Ta'allah he will put His love in your heart for Him.

How easy? But then why do many of us (inclusive myself) go the wrong way and act against the will of Allah Ta'allah and his final Messenger may the peace and blessings of Allah Ta'allah be upon him?

May Allah Ta'allah guide us all onto the straight path, Ameen.

Wasalaam.

Dear Muslims, the Day of Reckoning is not far. It may seem so as we are told that Dajjal is to come and sweep all the Muslims off their feet as he takes them with him (a test we have to pass from Allah (SWT)), the release of Yajuj and Majuj who are also known as Gog and Magog that Isa (alayhis salaam) will spend forty years, Imam Mahdi is yet to come and Islam is to conquer the world – Insha Allah. It all seems a lengthy process and that’s where we go wrong. We tell ourselves that life is long and that we can make up for all the bad deeds that we have committed or repay for them later in life at an old age and instead spend our years of young age maybe an entire decade, maybe two, maybe three in temporary worldly gains that are a real loss in the hereafter. It is quite evident that Islam is not preserved by ignorant people like that of today, in fact Allah (SWT) has protected His religion against all the odds of today, other religions, and all who aim to weaken us, as they have already proven by demonstrating mass killings in billions due to the mere fact that we say Laillahaillalah Muhammad Rasulullah.
