Asalaamoalaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu,

Inshallah I hope that I find you all well and in the best of health and Imaan. :hijabi:

I need some guidance on what one recites when making sajood during Quran recitation. Does one:
a) Just read: Subhaana Rabbiyal-A'laa
b) Supplicate by reading the dua: Sajada wajhiya lillathee khalaqahu, wa shaqqa sam'ahu wa basarahu bihawlihi wa quwwatihi. Fatabaarakallaahu 'ahsanul-khaaliqeen, this is quoted in the Book 'Fortress of a Muslim', reference: At-Tirmithi 2/474, Ahmad 6/30.
c) Both of the above.

Inshallah please base your answers with evidence from the Sunnah.

Jazzak Allah Khair.

Wasalaamoalaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

Asalaamoalaikum,
Jazzak Allah Khair for your help. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is sujood tilawah? Can you please give your evidence of which hadith advises us Muslims to recite this? Jazzak Allah Khair.

Assalamualaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh ukhti,

Sujood tilawah is the prostration that we do when a few ayat in the Quran is either read or heard.
It is a good practice to prostrate at the following places while reciting the Quran:-

1. Al-A'raf,7:206
2. Ar-Ra'd,13:15
3. An-Nahl,16:50
4. Al'Isra',17:109
5. Maryam,19:58
6. Al-Hajj,22:18
7. Al-Hajj,22:77*
8. Al-Furqan,25:60
9. An-Naml,27:26
10. As-Sajdah,32:15
11. Sad,38:24
12. Fussilat,41:38
13. An-Najm,53:62
14. Al-Inshiqaq,84:21
15. Al-A'laq,96:19

*In all, 14 places of prostration are agreed upon by all Muslim religious scholars and Ulamas, while Imam Shafie' suggest prostration at this place also.

The invocation that you wrote which is recited during the prostration can be referred in Saheeh Muslim, Vol 4, Hadeeth No. 201

All the goodness comes from Allah :)

Walaikumasalaam warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu.

Jazzak Allah Khair my dear sister for all your advice.

I wasn't too sure as to whether we can just read Subhaana Rabbiyal-A'laa
for Sujood tilawah or the other supplication.

May Allah SWT reward you abundantly for your help :tti_sister:

Wasalaamoalaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu :hijabi:
