is it compulsary to read the sunnah in the sala`h or id just the farz you have to read?

2)I think your right brother Junaid,that is exactly what she is trying to get across in her question.

Personally I think someone if possible should get back to her with a authentic hadith about if your prayer would be excepted if you only perform farz in salàh.

i.e Zuhr prayer has 12 rakats,and out of those 12 if you only perform the 4 farz is that enough.
