Asalaamu Alaikum,
My name is Zahrah, I'm 22 and I'm from England. I am a convert to Islam of almost 8 years alhamdulillah rabbi al ameen. I was a Christian since birth and when I was 11 years old, I started to be homeschooled because of bullying at school. I had a lot of free time so I taught myself about subjects including history, religion, science etc. I was originally going to become Jewish because I believed that Jesus (as) wasn't the Son of God despite what I had been taught at school and by my parents but I did believe he was a prophet and the messiah. So after reading about Judaism and starting to teach myself Hebrew, I contacted a Rabbi who told me that I needed to be 18 in order to convert. I was very disappointed. So after this I decided to look into Islam as the last Abrahamic faith I hadn't looked at. The minute I read the Qur'an I knew Islam was the truth. I took my shahadah on August 8th, 2001 (a month and three days before 9/11) and I haven't looked back since. I started wearing the hijab a few months before I actually took my shahadah because at that time, I took several verses in the Bible literally about a woman covering her hair. I now wear the niqaab as well and I feel naked without it.
Anyway I'll stop rambling now.
