Someone sent me this via e-mail and I double checked with snopes.com and I found that it's true. So, Inshaa'Allaah let's all be aware of this.

Be very careful when u get caught with dust...as following pictures shows the effects of bad dust to a person. While he was talking with his friends on the street he felt an eye irritation, thinking that it was just regular dust, he started to rub his eye, in an effort to remove the dust.... then his eyes got really red, and he went and bought some eye drops from a pharmacy....few days passed and his eyes were still red and seems a little swollen.

Again he dismissed it as the constant rubbing and that it will go away. The days go by the swelling of his eye got worse, redder and bigger....till he decided to go and see a doctor for a check up.
The doctor immediately wanted an operation, being afraid of a tumor growth or cyst. At the operation, what was thought to be a growth or cyst, actually turned out to be a live worm..... what was thought initially to be just mere dust actually was an insect's egg.

If u do get caught dust, and the pain persists, pls. go, see a doctor immediately........

Yuck! I was about to throw up. It's so creepy and gross. Brother Al Qassimi, it is said that when he fell the small egg worm rubbed inside his eye (thinking it was dust) and it finally grew inside his eye..eww

I remember watching on TV a guy who faced a similar situation, except the worm was inside the top of his head...yuck...

May Allah protect us and keep us healthy.

Thats the larva of a bot fly, they tend to embed in skin and mature, when they are ready to be born they come out.

Frankly there is nothing scary or creepy...it's an infection due to a parasite. I see a lot worse when going through my microbiology slides.

I would like everyone to note, that the fly actually has to physically lay the egg(s) on you and they don't float around in the dust...it did happen, but its rare for the fly to lay the egg in your eyes its more likely to be layed on your skin like arms or legs or even bare chests. the general moral of the story was don't brush off those symptoms...if you go to the farms its really common w/horses and cows

Omg goodness...I am so terrified now two day ago around 12 am I was studying and I went to the bathroom and when I look in the mirror my eye ball was partially red. Now at first i was like ooookay I have pink eye. But then I was inform that pink eye covers the entire eye not the half or quarter of it. So I went to see this Muslim professor on my campus....he told me it was allergies and to take natural honey. But still a little worry...I went to see a nurse, and she too inform that it was allergies and prescribe me some pills to take. But it has been two days,...I see no clearing up and I am just worried that a vein or something pop in my eye. I mean I have never had allergies before and all of sudden my body is allergic to things.

u got me even more scared with this picture. I pray I am not going blind.
