When performing Salaat, we are meant to raise our hands and say AllahuAkbar after the Niya before we begin. For women, do they need to raise their hands all the way up to their ears? I heard that for women it is enough to raise thier hands just a little bit and say Allahuakbar.

Also are we supposed to say AllahhuAkbar before we do sajdah?

:salam2: sister,

if someone tell you something, always ask them "where" they took these info from....

Anyway, the movements of the prayer should be the same for men & women. The Prophet :saw: said: "Pray as you see me praying" ...and he didn't make difference between men & women.

But I'm searching for a fatawa or something :inshallah:

From the Book "The Prophet's prayer described" of Shaikh Al-Albaani

Raising the Hands

He :saw: would raise his hands with the takbeer, sometimes after the takbeer, and sometimes before it.

He :saw: would raise them with fingers apart [not spaced out, not together], and he :saw: would put them level with his shoulders, although occasionally, he :saw: would raise them until they were level with [the tops of] his ears.
