The noble Scholar advises the Muslims who partake in this day (i.e. April 1st) by lying and deceiving each other in jest. He outlines four prohibitions that every Muslim who partakes in the frivolous activities of this day falls into. And he concludes with an advice for the Muslims explaining why they are in such a humiliated position in front of the non-Muslims and he clarifies the way out of this current predicament.

Ahsanallahu 'ilaykum, akhi. Yes, this event is prevalent in most English speaking countries or where English is popular medium. This is something similar to Valentine's Day, in the sense that people celebrate it just for the fun of it without knowing the background or origin. And the media uses it to market themselves.
