:salam2:
We have sadaqa jariyah (continuous charity). This is something that benefits you long after you are dead. It could be a righteous child left behind who does good, beneficial you left behind that continuous to help people or something you built or took part in building, such a masjid.
Knowledge wise, if you teach something good to some one (like salah) and they continue to do it then they get reward you do to. And if they teach that to anyone else then you get reward for the action that others do so forth like a pyramid scheme.
What about sin jariyah (continuous sin). If you teach someone to sin (like steal) and they continue to do that sin, do you get sin for it as well? if they teach it to others and further mislead others, do you get the share too? What if you have stopped yourself but those you influenced still do it, do you still get sin for it?
I know the first man to ever kill (one of the sons of Adam) has a share in every murder that has taken place since then and will continue to have it. So is it similar to that and you get your of sin for what you taught others to do.
There may not be an actual answer out there yet unless someone already asked a scholar and it has been answered. Anyway info from Quran & Sunnah with proofs n links or fatwa from scholar would be great.
