Ahhhh!! The pressure is on! Well the part that brought a smile to my face was where he said, " Prophet Mohhamed's (peace be upon him) message for ALL! Not just the Arabs but the Japaneses, American, German and everyone."

I did learn something new, that we cannot insult the gods of other religions. I admit I actually did something like this when I passed a Hindu shop where statues of their gods were on display for purchase. One of them was marked down and I muttered something under my breath about the worth of such a god if he/she could be discounted in a store. So now I know I need to repent. :shymuslima1:

Dear sister,

I think there is no need to repent for insulting the false gods of other religions specially if you did that only in secret and no one heard you. It is true that Allah told us not to insult their gods lest they insult Allah in return ignorantly.

However, if you did that as muttering under your breath, I think you do not have to regret for doing that as Prophet Ibrahim himself insulted the false gods of his people openly when he, peace be upon him, said what can be translated as:

66 [Ibrâhîm (Abraham)] said: "Do you then worship besides Allâh, things that can neither profit you, nor harm you?
67 "Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allâh! Have you then no sense?" Chapter #21, Verse #66 & 67

قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ
أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

It was also stated in the biography of our beloved prophet and his companions that Abu Bakr Al-Sedeiq insulted one of the idols of Quraish in front of the prophet and the prophet did not comment on that.


May Allah forgive me if I was wrong.

Hahaha... You are almost close... but not quite..

See..... You popped in my mind sister when shaikh Wahhaj started talking about those born into Islam and how arrogant some can be...Then the Shaikh said that the reward for those who convert to Islam is DOUBLE of those born into Islam, then he turned his back and walked off; rightfully so .. It was a very funny gesture to me... I never knew about this fact, and I believe we shed more light on it for the sake of our brothers/sister who revert to Islam.

See in the past, you pointed my attention to the fact that those born into Islam can be arrogant and condiscending to those reverting to Islam... I had no idea but I was upset at the fact. You made me pay special attention to those reverting than I ever did before. I thank you for that my sister.

When I saw the above video and got to that point about the DOUBLE REWARD, I got really happy and wanted to share with you the fact that you get DOUBLE the reward of those born into Islam; (me included).. :)

But, sorry you have lost the 10 points for not guessing correctly.... LOL

May Allah bless you, increase your iman and keep your heart steady on His right path... Ameen.

double reward? i didn't know that. i guess its very fair in islam that they get double the reward and have their previous sins forgiven. coz unlike us who were born in this religion, these people actually made an effort to study the religion they were never taught and made a concious choice, out of their own will, to revert.

You are correct brother shaheerpak... These are the true muslims replacing the bad ones Allah has mentioned about... He will replace those bad ones with new people; then these will be NOT like the former.... Subhan Allah.

short form of as salam-o-alaikum hehehehe . its commonly used in pakistan when chatting. i'm not sure but i think my friends and i originally started it and it spread like wildfire over the net. just like someone starts a new slang and soon it spreads over everywhere.

Brother Ak, you give me hope that people truly listen when a newer member of the ummah voices their struggle. It let's me knwo that we do not go unheard. It also let's me know that people truly mean what they say when they speak of trying to make a change for the positive.

People need to remember that nations and politics come and go but we must not forget to maintain adaab. Stereotyping and cursing an entire people for the actions of some is not permitted in Islam. So I found this lecture very touching and powerful in it's reminder.

On a new note, I think the Muslim umma will be lucky to have your future offsprings; those who WILL BE born into Islam insha Allah, but they will be a new and refreshing breed; free from prejudice and arrogance towards the future reverts to Islam.
