stop thinking "i'm better muslim than you!"

:salam2:,

we must not forget two hadiths: one about a woman being punished for keeping cat in the cage while other hadith about a prostitute being forgiven for giving a drink to a dog.

these hadiths tells us that only Allah knows our real hearts, only He knows who is more righteous. so lets not think that we are sin-free and holy and criticise others for their bad acts. we should ofcourse advice others and promote good/ prevent evil but not with the intention that we are more purer than them. but for the sake of Allah as a duty as He told us to enjoin good and forbid evil.

so lets stop believing or telling to others: i am better than you. leave this to Allah - Who knows everything. He knows the person's future, He knows the circumstances, etc.

jazak Allahu khyir..

and..

the hadith about the cat is narrated in sahih bukhari...

Volume 001, Book 012, Hadith Number 712.
-----------------------------------------
Narated By Asma' bint Abi Bakr : The Prophet once offered the eclipse prayer. He stood for a long time and then did a prolonged bowing. He stood up straight again and kept on standing for a long time, then bowed a long bowing and then stood up straight and then prostrated a prolonged prostration and then lifted his head and prostrated a prolonged prostration. And then he stood up for a long time and then did a prolonged bowing and then stood up straight again and kept on standing for a long time. Then he bowed a long bowing and then stood up straight and then prostrated a prolonged prostration and then lifted his head and went for a prolonged prostration. On completion o the prayer, he said, "Paradise became near to me that if I had dared, I would have plucked one of its bunches for you and Hell became so near to me that said, 'O my Lord will I be among those people?' Then suddenly I saw a woman and a cat was lacerating her with it claws. On inquiring, it was said that the woman had imprisoned the cat till it died of starvation and she neither fed it no freed it so that it could feed itself."

yes, to be kindful to animals is rewarded. and He can forgive us even for a single good deed towards them.

but only He knows who are those fortunate ones.
