In my country which's suppose to be a muslim country ,I was prevented from entering a hospital because I wear (niqab) or veil,Iwas going to visit a sick girl and I was told that I had to take it off if I wanted to go in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was really upset,Ive felt that I'm a stranger in my home land.

Salaam,

Dearest sister, I do not know what to say except Allah subhana talla knows the intention of your heart. I keep writing the phrase: the servants of the servants of the devil are the ignorant ones...but believe that the angels of Allah have recorded the actions.

I would write a letter to the president of the hospital. I would write a letter to the editor of every major newspaper in your country. I would post the letter on every library in your area. Sister, I have spent a lifetime perfecting being a pest. I would nail my letter to trees, I would plaster the letter near bus/train stations.

In the body of my letter I would ask the simple question why?
I would also post my letter on www.islamonline.net...and send a copy to the major imam's. These are simple proactive ways of brining attention to a simple solution. You will make it easy for every sister who has to visit someone who is sick in the hospital. I always think of the ants. We may not be big but Allah has given us life.

:shymuslima1: So sorry to hear that sister. What is so sad that it is a muslim country!! Ignorance is contagious, and its spreading, ya Allah. I agree with Sister Mirajmom, dont take it sitting down, let your voice be heard, or every sister that comes to visit someone will not be able because of ignorant people like these. You can be the voice that makes a difference for others sisters who have to be treated this way. May Allah help you sis, and stay strong!!:tti_sister:

that's right,do something sister!

It's happening often and often that in muslim countries women wearing niqab or also a simple abaya are considered "from another planet" :astag:

They look at you like: "Who is this?":astag:

Jazakum Allah khair my dear sisters, but I think that you are very optimisms because the head of scholars(the major Imam) here rejects wearing niqab completely, definitely there are many scholars still fear Allah but they don't have the authority.
My be in the west you can do all what you've said and make change but here in the east I don't think so.
The worst of that, there's another hospital follows the same organization(military organization) the stuff of nurssing are prevented of wearing hijab just a scarf,it's not permissable to wear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you still believe that there's any hope to make any change?????????
