sunni and shia marriage

What is the view on this? what if this shia person prays the same way as i do (sunni) believes in God, prays, and believes in the prophets. He also disagrees with worshipping imam hussein or doing matham.

What if we share similar spiritual paths and we grow together towards God.
Is there something wrong?

If your beliefs are the same then I don't think it matters what labels you decide to apply to yourselves.

In Islam we suppose to obey only Allah and to do that see the example of his beloved prophet and then see how companions understood Islam and followed it to get close to Allah . We have to have great respect to the companion of the prophet as they are guide to us towards righteousness and they had sacrifice , which only Allah knows how much for us later Muslim .

WE ARE MUSLIM FIRST AND ONLY MUSLIM, WE DONOT NEED ANY OTHER NAME BUT THE ONE GIVEN TO US BY ISLAM..MUSLIM AND TO BECOME A MOMIN WHICH IS A MUSLIM WHO SINCERLY BELIEVES IN ISLAM AS IT IS REQUIRED BY ALLAH AND SHOWN BY PROPHET.

It is better to pose your question to a scholar in person as we are talking about a matter as important as marriage.

Also, the matter doesn't just stop to shirk as you have mentioned. But also, it has to be seen if the prospective believes and understands that the Quran is the unaltered word of Allah subhaanahu wa taa'ala which we muslims have to abide by. In addition, he/she should believe that Sunnah of Rasool (sallallahu alleihiwasallam) is something that we should all strive to follow and seek guidance from in all our matters.

Don't base your decision, on the opinion of fellow brothers and sisters. Rather consult a sheikh/Imam who knows all the rulings about the matter and could give you and the prospective spouse better advice when he meets you in person and is familiarized with your situation.
