The Obedient Wife

There was a man who had worked all his life, had saved all of his money, and was a real 'miser' when it came to his money.

Just before he died, he said to his wife...'When I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me. I want to take my money to the afterlife with me.'

And so he got his wife to promise him, with all of her heart, that when he died, she would put all of the money into the casket with him.

Well, he died. He was stretched out in the casket, his wife was sitting there - dressed in black, and her friend was sitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony, and just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said,

'Wait just a moment!'

She had a small metal box with her; she came over with the box and put it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the casket down and they rolled it away. So her friend said,

'Girl, I know you were not fool enough to put all that money in there with your husband.'

The loyal wife replied, 'Listen, I'm a Christian; I cannot go back on my word. I promised him that I was going to put that money into the casket with him.'

You mean to tell me you put that money in the casket with him!?!?!?'


'I sure did,' said the wife. 'I got it all together, put it into my account, and wrote him a check.... If he can cash it, then he can spend it.'

كان هناك رجل يعمل طوال حياته ، وقد وفر كل ما لديه من أموال، وكان حقيقة 'بخيلا' عندما يتعلق الأمر بالمال.

قبل وفاته ، قال لزوجته... وعندما أموت، أنا أريد منك أن تأخذين كل أموالي وتضعيها في النعش معي. وأود أن أخذ أموالي إلى الآخرة معي '.

وحصل على وعد زوجته بذلك من قلبها أنه عندما يتوفى، فإنها ستضع كل الأموال في النعش معه.

حسنا، عند وفاته. كان ملقاة في النعش، وزوجته كانت تجلس هناك والجميع يرتدون ملابس سوداء، وصديقتها كانت جالسا إلى جوارها. عندما انتهى الحفل، وقبل الاستعداد لإغلاق النعش، قالت الزوجة،

'انتظر لحظة..

إنها علبة معدنية صغيرة معها وضعتها في النعش. ثم أغلق النعش بانخفاض ورحل بعيدا. ثم قالت صديقتها،

يا بنت، وأنا أعلم أنك ليست مغفلة لوضع كل المال مع زوجك.

ردت الزوجة المخلصة ، 'اسمعي ، أنا متدينة وأنا لا يمكن أن أعود في كلمي. وعدته أني أريد أضع هذه الأموال في النعش معه.

هل تقصدين انك وضعتي الأموال في نعش معه!؟!؟!؟'


أنا متأكدة من ما فعلت، تقول الزوجة. 'حصلت على كل شيء، وضعته في حسابي، وكتبت له شيك.... إذا كان يستطيع صرفة، يمكن أن ينفقه.

Hummm....Well I have a true story by a well known writer/lawyer in Pakistan Mirza Amjad Baig. He was was working as a solicitor in this case.

A rich man was murdered who was also very miser. he had given a small bag to a noble man and had advised him to put this bag inside his coffin when I die. That man was killed by one of his son (I think...I am not sure that was son or another relative) to get his money. Noble man who had his bag fulfilled his promse and put his that bag inside his coffin right before his funeral.

After his death his relatives came to know that he has not left any money behind . They also asked that noble man about the bag which he had put inside his coffin. That noble man informed them that I am not aware of what was inside the bag...I had just fulfilled my promise.

With the firm belief about the bag that it must be full of wealth....one of his relatives (probably) son dig out his grave in the middle of night. Police (probably...or solicitor or someone else) was also following him. What they witnessed was that after digging out some portion of the grave, his son entered his aram inside the grave and suddenly they heared his huge cry (Astaghferullah) and soon after he died (I think). What they had witnessed inside the grave was that "There was a big piece of fired metal which was on dead body's naked heart" I really do not remember the exact description brothers and sisters....but it was literally terrifying. At this point writer had written that I felt as if this was the exact example of the punishment which has been mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an about those people who gather gold and silver.

May Allah save us from the punishment of grave and Jahannum
