The Reward for Visiting One's Brother

Muslim related from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet (s.a.w) that a man went to visit his brother in another village. On his path, Allah made an angel lie in wait for him, and when he reached that point, the angel asked, ''Where do you wish to go?'' He said, ''I want to visit a brother of mine in this village.'' The angel said, ''Does he have to give you any blessings to you that you wish to collect?'' He said, ''No, except that i love him for Allah.'' The angel said, ''I am indeed a messenger from Allah to you to inform you that Allah indeed loves you as you love him (i.e your brother).'' (sahih Muslim2567)
