Assalaam walaikum,

Appreciate the variety of songs that sing praises to Allah. Millions of people are grateful to hear people humble themselves before God.

Why are you being so negative.

Islam is the faith of tolerance. Why are you allowing yourself to be so narrow minded at such a young age.

You are closing your heart to the Creation of Allah. If you have such intolerance in your heart..your world will be very restricted.

This attitude is not Islamic. Our Prophet tolerated the duyna. We are to live life not become isolated and intolerant.

I am writing this out of love.

Dear Sister,

I agree with what Apa has to say. I would only add that this is a sure chance to be a good muslim, one who is strong in faith and practises what is required of her. Sister, I know it takes more than courage to steer through such situations. Allow me to say, this is the best chance to educate and influence your neighbours through your open heartedness, your compassion for them, your best islamic manners.

Dear sister you surely know the rights of neighbors as enjoined by Islam. Quran emphasises on being positive and friendly under the direst of situations. There is a great reward for them who brave the situation through perseverance and do good and continue doing so for the sake of Allah.

Love you
Umme Ali

SISTERS.... FIRST OF ALL I TOO LOVE YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH..:):hearts:

I accept every single advise,, ALHAMDULILLAH..

But here my problem is lil different
If you want me to clarify more... let me start from the beginning..BUT SHORT STORY BY THE WAY..

You see, I was pianist and Music was every thing to me few years back.I could play Piano, violin, flute, xylophone, Viola (a lil) :astag::astag::astag::astag:

MAY ALLAH AZZAWAJAL FORGIVE ME..:tti_sister::tti_sister::tti_sister:

Now...
First of all, I FEEL HARD WHEN I LISTEN TO THE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS... i feel like crying... MUSIC IS LIKE ALCOHOL FOR ME...is dangerous:girl3:

Other people at home dont feel the same 'coz they never feel the music in a PERFECT way which I feel...so they wont understand my feelings..

TELL ME, HOW? HOW WILL I GET RID OF THIS???

Secondly... SWEET SISTER AAPA... they dont praise ALLAH TALA.. the songs are resembling nothing but SHIRK... :girl3::girl3:

IF I GET ANGRY ON THE PEOPLE WHO DRAW CARTOONS OF THE PROPHET (PBUH), AS AN AVERAGE HUMAN BEING, I WOULD GET MORE ANGER ON THE PEOPLE WHO GIVE THE SEAT OF OUR RABB TO SOME ONE ELSE, right??

BUT if this is RUDE.. MAY ALLAH AZZAWAJAL FORGIVE ME :tti_sister::tti_sister:

Thirdly, ALHAMDULILLAH, I know about the duties which I have upon my neighbors:hearts::hearts:

I NEVER WANT TO HURT THEM:hearts::hearts::hearts:

So WHAT IS THE WAY TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM WITHOUT HURTING THEM + WITHOUT HURTING MY SELF???

Assalaam walaikum,

Sweet little sister...it is not everyday. Those people are producing sounds of peace. Listen to the peace.
We, as Muslims, must allow others to worship what they worship, in peace. This is the way of Islam.
We no longer live in isolated communities. We are part of a global world. We are exposed to varied lifestyles.
You do not know where you may end up living. We have to co-exist. Our faith becomes stronger with patience.

On a very personal level I love to hear chants and praises...believe me it beats hearing gun shots, sirens, domestic arguments and drunks.

:salam2:

Sister Aapa, sounds of shirk can not be sounds of peace. I hope you know that these bells (the hindu uses) and such chantings is called idol talking and condemned as evil. Tolerance towards other religion does not mean growing likings towards their chantings of shirk. As Muslims we are to hate anything that comes close to shirk.

Sister Faraa, this is indeed a test for you and you should ask Allah to keep you steadfast and patient in Islam. You must exercise self-control and let not the music get into your head. Each time you hear them, you can indulge yourself into Allah's dhikr and recite dua's. You can even turn on recitation of the Holy Quran and listen to it through headphones. InshAllah, you will eventually overcome your problem.I hope you also try doing dawa'h to the neighboring women and show them the beauty of Islam. And you should also talk to the muslim sisters (who are not strict in practicing) and remind them of Allah's divine message. Allah knows best.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

We live in a world of diversity and different beliefs, it will not bend to us. We must continue on in spite of the struggles. My neighbors listen to extremely loud music as well as constantly fight. (I wonder if they are hard of hearing or something) I've learned to just ignore it because honestly there is nothing else I can do.

I can't call you sister because you are very elder to me but How do you have this amount of tolerance? You preach everyone to tolerate.I just want to know what can we do to tolerate others.Do we have to tolerate everything?.Because all people are not same.

Aapa

Mirajmom
Assalaam walaikum,

I tolerate simply because the world tolerates me. I am a simple human being who whines like everyone else. I want life to be easy for me. I want and want and want.

Who am I to judge others. In the end I have to stand before Allah subhana talla.

As to the response of the sounds of shirk..I think of my children in Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, all over the world and the sounds of war they are subjected to..in the light of the big picture what is a bell.

Think son of what our Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, had to tolerate. He, who was the Light of Allah, had to put up with our nonsense.

When it is written Lower your gaze..do it. Now, there is a balance. We do not tolerate oppression. We enjoin good and forbid evil. We lend a helping hand. We always take the high road. We exhibit the best of manners.

However, we learn there are somethings we can not change. So we change ourselves; without compromising the best in us: Islam.
