Thoughts on my mind

Bismil' Allah, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Raheem,

My respected brothers and sisters,

I have been thinking. It is time to share some thoughts. Today in my reading of our holy scripture the word mist stood out.
Mist..as it surrounds us in our world today. It has been a very bleak week here. Although it is springtime, the temperature is currently in the low 40's, the gas price is almost $4.00 a gallon, going to the grocery store is a pastime to go window shopping, I have made myself forget the number of deaths all over the world, and my guilt is consuming me..I live in a mist just trying to keeping afloat.
We Muslims seem to forget that we are responsible for each other. We will be questioned on a day that is promised. We must lift the mist from ourselves. We can not live in fear..because if we continue to live in fear..we bow down to that which is useless..we can only fear Allah subhana talla.
Today I was in the midst of a conversation about politics and the state of the economy when I heard someone say..I do not like this politician because he is a Muslim... I walked away..wishing I was near a Muslim..I watched a movie and was left very confused as the film depicted a Muslim man sodomizing a young Muslim boy...the film had Muslims in it...and in California the ban was lifted on gay marriages...
I understood why the world is a prison for Muslims...but we have been granted life by Allah subhana talla to Honor and Praise Him.
I feel one way to lift the mist from ourselves is to be serious about ourselves.
I beg forgiveness for any incoherence in my writing. I am deeply pained by my helplessness for my wish is to beg Allah subhana talla to send His Mercy upon us, all His creation.
I, therefore ask my brothers and sisters in Islam to make dua that Allah subhana talla give us patience and lift a veil of ignorance from us.. showing us the path of our Prophet.

for the past two week, I just been reflecting...and sometimes. I am just so thankful to be a muslim but I wonder are these the signs of last day. I really don' know them but all this killing and honestly I not really affected by. i mean I hear it about, I am sad but I feel, I should hurt more. I wonder what has happen to me, or my society. I mean in Mymnmar the death toll is 50,000 people and in China 20,000-50,000 people. it just seems like a lot of death in such a short time.

Allah Alim

This is so true dear sister. This world is sinking lower and lower, and we are going with it. We need to be the ones to lift it back up to where it should be, but we are too scared of the non-believers, we fear them, not Allah:astag:! May Allah keep our hearts firm in Islam and make it easy on all the muslims, ameen! And AMEEN to the duaa. Jazakallahu Khairan for your thoughts!

asalamu alaykum. you are all right. but honestly we all write that we are scared, that we wish we could do something yet we don't. it's up to us to make the changes but if we don't who will. so california lifted the ban on gay marriages- but hey it's not too late. if we do what we are supposed to do as muslims, if we build more masjids, spread islam more and contribute to the societies we live in by educating them about islam- then these kinda things are unlikely to occur as often. our brothers and sisters are dying- but instead of the kuffar being the ones who help them and giving them the bible it could be us helping them and giving them the book of quran. so just one suggestion and im very serious- let's stop complaining- let's start doing something. stop being afraid- either way you will die one day. so do what it takes to help the muslims and to reunite the ummah. i hope i'll be able to do my part. what about you? is it not time?i think it is.
salam.

I think things are getting worse just as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said - like the minor signs of the end of days. The clocks ticking and its not long left.

i have the same thoughts on my mind too, if we were closer to one another and helping each other we might have been stronger. no matter where we are we need to stick together. i always pray and will always pray that we stick together and hopefuly someday we will be strong. masha Allah for sharing your thoughts looks like i found someone who feels the same as i feel.:tti_sister::ma:

Nice post, Jazak Allahu Khair sister. It is true, it is frustrating. We need to be steadfast in our worship of Allah and a good example in our community, wherever we are located. Also, with the internet, there are Islamic charities helping out our fellow human-beings that have suffered these past days in Myanmar and China, like Islamic Relief, for example. If you find yourself in a position with absolutely no financial means to help out, you can be a Muslim voice on One.org, trying to help eradicate poverty, disease and starvation in Africa, by keeping the concern out there and voicing your concern to politicians, local and national (in USA) about this horror in Africa, as well as the horror of the war in Iraq, Afghanistan and 60 years of torture and oppression of Palestinaians backed by the US. Let's worship the Almighty Allah, subhana wa ta'ala alone, follow the example of our beloved Prophet, Mohammed, peace be upon him, and make the most use of our time here in this world and be ever mindful of the Hereafter.
