Alhamdulilah :)
:salam2:

I've been here on this site for sometime now, and alhamdulilah there are many great postings which offer good islamic sources, but I have also noticed there's just so much arguing going on! In almost every topic, there are two or more people saying this is halaal according to this hadith and this sheikh's opinion or understanding, and then someone else will say no it's haraam. I'm sorry but I think non-Muslims/Muslims who visit this site will be more confused when they see some people saying something is permissible and another person saying it's not. What disturbs me is that, some people who think they're doing good by posting their opinions might be confusing people even more.

This just shows how Muslims are divided even concerning little things that there shouldn't be any arguments about. Any-who may Allah guide us all, but please people don't comment on posts only for the sake of arguing, if you think someone is really trying to give misleading or mis-correct Islamic information, that's when it's proper to comment, but other wise, let's try to avoid any other negative things which will show the division of the Muslims.

Salaam,

P.S. forgive me if I've offended anyone.

Walaykumsalaam waa rahmatullahi respected sister,

JazakAllahu Khayran for this beneficial reminder.

I agree that we should avoid our personal interpretation or personal understanding on issues regarding to halaal and haraam. Also, we should try to Insha'Allah accept views backed by evidence even if we held an opposing view before.

Though the problem of division among muslim is one to be taken into consideration, I think there is a bigger problem with personal views. What if a young muslim brother or sister seeking knowledge stumbles upon the post and ends up following someone's personal opinion !? That would be a tragedy and we should avoid it all costs.

We should have an appreciation for science of Islamic jurisprudence and give it proper respect by referring to its scholars, from whom we can gain beneficial knowledge and also understand how the ruling was derived from the mentioned evidences.

May Allah subhaanahu waa ta'ala grant us beneficial knowledge and guide us always. Ameen

Wasalaamalaykum waa rahmatullahi

Mashallah dear sister, it is very good and usefull remainder for all us. We find Muslims arguing for litlle things, and as you said, we had many examples where you could see someone saying about Islaam rules, without first bringing proofs from Quran or Sunnah, and on the end of authentic and truthfull Islamic Schoolars, but subahnAllah we first need to find answers in Allahs Words and Sunnah.

Muslims should unite thier hearts Inshallah, as there are many unbelivers who wish to devide us more, and fight againsts Muslims. May Allah make the hearts of Muslims like one, and give us help to fight against those who wish to bring truble to Muslims from all sides.

May Allah protect us all.,:tti_sister:

to Allah we belong
:wasalam:,

there has always been differences even between scholars of truth.

but we should be unified in aqeedah as there is hardly any difference. regarding small matters in which we differ like surah fatiha behind imam, alcohol perfumes, etc...we should not let these issues to divide us.

lets be brothers and sisters in Islam who are seeking the pleasure of our Rabb.

It's a good reminder to all of us, Allah Azza wajallah warn us that we should not stand on something that we don't have knowledge on and also the prophet of Islam teaches us to avoid argument.
We need to understand that our unity is compulsory there is no two way about that.
Secondly, we should avoid writing thread on topics that are of no benefit to us in our life of this world or hereafter.

Alhamdulilah :)
Jazaaki Allaahu Khayran, sister, for this good reminder.

Unity is not the same thing as unanimity. Muslims are not automatons playing "follow the leader". We are repeatedly commanded by God in the Quran to reflect and reason, and admonished if we follow "what our fathers did" without scrutiny. Therefore, it is incumbent upon all of us individually to re-examine what we've been told and filter out everything that cannot be proven from the Quran or the authentic Hadeeth.

This will lead to difference in opinion, but that is no reason to disunite. We can disagree without being disagreeable. Unfortunately, many Muslims equate disagreement with dislike! Not so. Our righteous predecessors (as-Salaf as-Saalih) disagreed very often and sometimes very strongly, but they always held each other in the highest regard. That, we should follow.
Wa Iyakum,

That's exactly what I mean, there's no way one person who by the way, may not have a deep knowledge of the deen can filter out everything that cannot be prvoen from the Quran or the authentic hadeeth. There are a lot of things which are not in the Quran or Sunna, so people with only basic knowledge of Islam will depend on the scholars for answers. I've seen many times when two or more people came with the same exact authentic hadith but with two or more totally different interpretation and ruling. Unless it is absolutely necessary to correct someone, I think it's better to just stay away from making comments on every post and thread. if the majority of scholars, who've spent most of their lives studying this religion agree on something it's better to let it be, and not confuse people.
