Ummah needs to be united & STOP being a Mob!

Asslamo Allaikum Brothers/Sisters,

Obviously we need to return to Qur'aan & Sunnah: FIRST AND FOREMOST!

One of the reasons amongst many for our collective state (Ummah) is our lack of organisation!

We are like a mob and mobs don’t change anything. Whether it comes to getting married, brining up kids or to contacting Master foods because they have put Animal products in chocolates WE need to get united & affect change!

Mobs cause a lot of destruction & EVEN if they are able to bring change; its bloody & its costly!

If you look at the Qur’aan & Sunnah look at what we are taught and the importance placed on Organisation & Obedience to an Ameer (Leader):

The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys." (002.285)

It has been narrated on the authority of Junida b. Abu Umayya who said: We called upon 'Ubada b. Samit who was ill and said to him: May God give you health I Narrate to us a tradition which God may prove beneficial (to us) and which you have heard from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). He said: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) called us and we took the oath of allegiance to him. Among the injunctions he made binding upon us was: Listening and obedience (to the Amir) in our pleasure and displeasure, in our adversity and prosperity, even when somebody is given preference over us, and without disputing the delegation of powers to a man duly invested with them (Obedience shall be accorded to him in all circumstances) except when you have clear signs of his disbelief in (or disobedience to) God-signs that could be used as a conscientious justification (for non-compliance with his orders). (Saheeh Muslim)

Finally one of my favorite English poems of all times; I suggest all to read the background and enjoy the poetry BUT more then that, ponder over the stuff in BOLD!

For those with limited understanding of English (like me), read HOW the soldiers knew that someone had blundered in the orders; yet they carried out their duties i.e. LAST MAN LAST BULLET!

The Charge Of The Light Brigade
by Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Memorializing Events in the Battle of Balaclava, October 25, 1854
Written 1854

Half a league half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred:
'Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns' he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

'Forward, the Light Brigade!'
Was there a man dismay'd ?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Some one had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,

Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd & thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.

Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack & Russian
Reel'd from the sabre-stroke,
Shatter'd & sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse & hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wonder'd.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!

Salaam Brother,

Off subject the movie version is very good. It is true to the poem and shows the ineptititude of the British officers very well.

O.K. We need organization. What is step one. Why can we not contact every masjid and ask for the same kutba to be delivered on the same day?
Where is our leader.

We need a leader. We need to remember Islam first.
How do we organize? I believe a better word is re-organize. The Sunnah shows us we were organized once.

Micro Oraganisation with lots of sacrifice!

Asslamo Allaikum Sister,

They made a movie out of “Charge of the light Brigade”!

Is Hollywood bent on destroying all my childhood memories? :angryred:

Some very good points raised…

Organisation can be done on a macro & a micro level.
Macro = Ummah
Micro = Home, Mosque, Communities

We are in no position to have macro organisation so we can perhaps work on micro organisation? I believe that having the Imams/leaders of Mosques in each city sit together twice a month and discussing problems is a start.

We can’t even start Eid & Ramadhan on the same day so coordinating Khutbahs weekly will be a chore!

In California we wanted to pray one Eid Salah in a public park and the Barelwees refused to pray behind our Imam so we said, “Fine, we will pray behind your Imam”. They were astonished but it went ahead, anyways.

Their Imam abused us in the Eid Khutbah, “Wahabi this, Wahabi that”…and guess what …people who were praying took offence and stopped the Imam for saying these things! And for the next few years, life was good and everyone prayed together.

Its amazing what can be achieved by sacrifice! But who wants to sacrifice???

:salam2: that's right!!!!!
So,what's the solution for that?My first Eid as a muslim was very confused: I go to the mosque near my home and I find: "Eid prayer tomorrow" :SMILY176:
....and I had to take the bus to reach the closer mosque....hoping to get the prayer on time....WE REALLY NEED ORGANIZATION!!

:tti_sister: InshaAllah!

Salaam,

Brothers you have given me an idea. I will get busy and contact the major masjids. InshaAllah, we can. We have the foundations and before the FBI comes knocking on my door I will start what women at my age are so good at doing..an -e-mail chain letter.

Salaam,

Brother GP,

The movie was almost a comdey. I belive it is not too old. Made in the last five years or so. It simply showed the arrogance of the upper middle class, the poor military training, the refusal to see and analyze the reality of the situation. And they did drink tea at tea time.

W-Salam,

I tried and failed in England; Insha'Allah I hope that you have better results.

In US, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, South Africa, Scotland, Wales, Ireland etc. it is possible for Mosques to unite.

In England half of your life is spent defending your Aqeedah & the other half slandering everybody else who doesn’t have the same Aqeedah. In Australia; its similar but not as bad as England.

Who is rightly guided & who is deviant; that’s what most Brothers/Sisters in England do ; day in & day out!

Petty nonsense if you ask me; personally.

Tittle-Tattle!

Asslamo Allaikum,

I really feel for Muslims in England!

Someone needs to rise above the tittle-tattle; really.

Actually Pakistan means "Pure Land" or "Land of the Pure", Paki being derived from the verb "paak", which is Urdu, Persian and Sindhi for pure.
