Wedding Give Aways?

Inshaa'Allaah all is well.

I'm wondering whether it's ok to give out lil souvenirs (that are halaal) to the guests during Waleemah to show gratitude for sharing the special day with the new couple. My mind is battling whether it is imitating the kuffar or if it's ok? Has anyone read a fatwa regarding this? Were give-aways practised at the time of the prophet SAW? Jazakallaahu Khayran!

giving gifts is not haram, you can give gifts for many reasons, of say thank you, i dont think there is anything wrong with this, but i would check still with the imman,
