Subhanallah! This is soo verry true-
I totally understand what he mean when he says,
'Al kashyatu Akhassu minal khawf'- ...Fear isn't only being afraid of, Fear is in the hearts, and we always say we 'fear' Allah swt, but we don't even know what 'fear' itself is- Fear of Allah, is when you fear Him so much that you won't be able to disobey Him. Fear of Allah swt, is to be afraid of, to exalt, to respect, and to glorify Him as sheikh Hassan said. So therefore, "The fearful isn't the one who cries then wipes off the tears from his eyes- But the Fearful is the one who abandons what he fears he'll be questioned about on the day of account"..you pretty much sumed it up sis

As I cant view any videos now since its blocked here, is the above the meaning of Khashiyah, خشية based on the lecture?

Looked up in the Arabic dictionary:

خشية:خوف means fear,concern.

subhan allah, in 6 minutes what i learnt / heard, it means the world to me. thank you for this beautiful post. i had no idea of the difference fear and affarid when it comes to fearing / being affraid of allah.

i understood this video better than what i thought. but im just confused still with the difference of 'fearing allah and being affraid of allah'

i like this part thought i enjoyed listening to the whole video

its really nice this part but im still kind of blocked from difference between fear and affraid when it comes to this allah. can someone please unblock this stubbon brain of mine. may allah open our hearts and help us become more understanding.

sometimes we listen to a surah, and feel the beauty of it and say 'mashallah its a beautiful surah' but we dont really understand it fully. this is what happen with me when listening to the post and reading the english words below it and pausing, rewining etc. its beautiful and i understand it a bit but im still confused.
