I was listening to a lecture, couple of days ago and this time I thought to share a story from that lecture so….here I am typing whatever the Sheikh said…the story would come in the middle…so please do proceed reading..
“Islam is not a way of life, which is there to be followed only by MULIMS!!!
We have to share ISLAM and it’s teachings with NON MUSLIMS ….that’s why we are here, on this earth….. We Muslims do always fail to realize the importance of Da’wah… and It is obligatory on us to do Da’wah (Calling to ALLAH AZZAWAJAL)
IT’S A BITTER TRUTH TO SAY THAT THE NON MUSLIMS DO RUN AWAY FROM ISLAM INSTEAD OF GETTING CLOSER TO IT, ONLY BECAUSE OF SOME OF THE MUSLIMS’ BEHAVIOURSE…SUBHANALLAH…
Let me tell you a story…
Once there were two shop keepers….
The first one was Jack, who was running a candy shop, while the other one was earning with a vinegar business, namely Charlie.
The two of them was running their business on a same street,
DAYS PASSED BY…..
Jack started to loose in his business, while Charlie became very rich….
Poor Jack planned to close the shop and start another job.., so…when the day arrived for him to close the candy shop, he went to Charlie and asked..
“Brother, I don’t wanna hurt you by asking this, but… can you please answer my question?”
“Yes my brother..What’s your question?” said Charlie
“I sell candy which smells good and tastes good, but you sell vinegar which smells bad and tastes bitter…yet you earn a lot but I have lost every thing..why so?” asked Jack…
Charlie with a simple smile, replied him saying..
“I sell vinegar with a candy face, but you are selling candy with vinegar face”
So the Sheikh was proceeding…
“WALLAHI We Muslims have the candy (ISLAM) with us…but we do not know to market it….”
I was thinking to my self, that a rough grandma who used to treat the Prophet (PBUH) with all the trashes she had, embraced ISLAM only because of the moral behavior of our prophet(PBUH)…but will a single human being at least get a good picture about ISLAM just by looking at our selves??????????????????????????????
AND I WAS ASKING TO MY SELF…
“HEY WHAT FACE DO YOU HAVE?”…….
