As Salaamu Alaikum, very good post... again, like with so many things we as ppl want 2 take a back seat 2 the goings on around us. it is easier 2 follow than 2 lead... more so because if it is wrong it was ur fault not mine. the heavy influence of monetary gain has corrupted EVERYTHING n r world 2 day. u can get a fatwah 2 say just about anything u want 2 do is Halal. like it said n the ayat... WE must change r bad and corrupt ways b4 ALLAH will change r condition

It's not about blamng the rulers but about resposibility!

We as muslims should obey our rulers even if they are oppressing us, however it shouldnt mean we become like slaves or sheeps and just accept it!

We have rights under Islamic Law and we have a right to speak against injustice even if it is a ruler and the end of the day he is muslim and should be warned if he is being oppressive and we as muslims should warn against oppression even if it is against us or by us.

If the Ruler is Oppressing them and he is a Muslim then that is Good, not that Oppression is Good but their condition because this is punishment from Allah. Changes come from the Bottom to Top, it does not come from Top to Bottom like what the Khawaarij and Takfiris believe. When you have So Much Curroption, Like Saint Worship, Grave Worship, Superstitions, Bidah, and Sin in the society, what else do you expect to have? You Will Never find a Rightous Ruler ruling a Curropt People.

so tell us the solution?

Do you expect the starving people in Sudan, Niger, Bangladesh..etc to read Kitabul Tawhid when they dont even have food?

We can add to that list people who accept oppression and don't talk against oppression, like the Jews and Christians of the past who were silent when their people were transgressing against the commands of Allaah, Allah did not only destroy the people who were the criminals but also the people who kept silent.

s=Starvation is not the reason why people are talking against the Rulers, You know that.

How you solve the problem?

By calling the People Back to Allah and His Messanger, By Learning about the Sunnah and then Applying it in your life and calling the people to It. And avoiding All the which is Harmful for yourself and the People by avoiding Bidah and Innovation.

Why are you conserned about Money Akhi when there is so Much Bidah in Muslim Lands? This is going in Tangents.

Many Nations like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE have given Money. Saudi Arabia gave $500 Million to help poor Muslim countries with Food crises Just Recently, So you just can't make a General Statement Like that. They Have Given alot of Money in the Earthquake which was Hit in Pakistan. Money also is being given to help Somali Refugees in Yemen by these government etc. They even help China in their Earthquake. Our concern is not Money Our concern is the Condition that we are in terms of the Aqeedah. That should be our focus.

:salam2:

I personally think that people should stop blaming the rulers. It does not mean that they do not do wrong, but as humans they do as much wrong as their humanity can allow them, and they will be accountable for that and not us.

And being such, it does not mean that we accept their wrongdoings as good, nor as models, or that we follow it ourselves, but rather if we can advise them directly we should do so, or to reform ourselves. What good does it do for us to just rant and rave about the injustices of the world otherwise? Should we not try to do Islah ourselves and reform what we can?

I think it's just shouldering off responsibility when such people go and blame the rulers. Trust me, they are not going to be standing in your place on the Day of Judgement, nor you theirs! So therefore, for me I find it pointless that one goes and blames them, and at the same time thinks ones own self as sufficient.

I mean if you have the time to rant so much, why not convert it to something beneficial.

Instead of blaming the rulers for starvation, call people to Islaam, teach them about the benefits of Sadaqah, encourage your brothers and sisters to donate old clothing, food, supplies. :) Use YOUR money, YOUR time, and YOUR efforts. Dont go for the rulers. User the power Allah has given you, dont place that on another.

And under Islamic law we have the right to enjoin good and forbid evil, but do we have the right to create unrest in the country? For rebellion of the rulers and disobedience and such?

Furthermore, as you have stated, it's the duty to not be of the Mujrimeen/ criminals, nor stay silent of them. But I that is the action they commit, I do not think that includes picking a specific person and complaining of them nor blaming them!

We need to fix actions, and to start with we have to fix ourselves, then our communities. As has been stated, without a good people, how in the world do you expect a good ruler when the ruler is from among the people?

Allah knows best, I dont want to speak of this anymore, and I think people should refer to the video and not of themselves as well.
