In Islam it's not allowed to rebel against the oppressive ruler as long as he is a Muslim. We see from time to time how people here quote hadiths about obeying the ruler. So you see threads getting deleted or closed about the KSA regime. I hope the moderators dont close this thread. I have a simple question!

Why not delete threads made by Muslims here who criticise the [Afghan!] Taliban? Or why not close the threads by explaining it's not permissible to speak against the rulers? Weren't the Afghan Taliban the rulers of Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001? And weren't they Muslims? Pakistan, KSA, and UAE were the countries that recognised the Taliban as being the real government of Afghanistan.

We find people asking me, if I have ever met the princes of KSA. Well I ask back, have you ever met Mullah Omar or any Taliban commander? Listening to documentaries... people say Mullah Omar became the Commander because he was truthful. You dont see him being famous... maybe he fears being famous because of riyaa´ [showing off].

Again the Taliban were Muslims and it's not permissible to rebel against a Muslim, no matter how oppressive he is and sinful [as long as his sins are NOT kufr!].

Now the Moderators, what is your answers?

assalamu alaykum,

We close and delete the threads which go beyond bounds. The difference is, that the ignorant few who make takfir of Muslim rulers have their threads closed or deleted. We do not need that sort of content and people here.

I do not believe anyone here makes takfir of the Taliban or who condones their killing.

We have tight moderation over a wide range of topics, this helps to reduce argumentation and bickering. - Most importantly, our methodology for what stays or goes is based on the Quran and Sunnah with the understanding of the pious predecessors. We keep to the rulings of the senior most scholars of our times.
