why would anybody not want to be a Muslim?

:salam2:

This question puzzle me? Learn about Islam!

The other one that questions me even more, why would anybody(non muslim) care if another person is muslim? Why so much effort to fog the truth?

In sha Allah, Allah elevates our firmness on this beautiful way of life and weigh our steadfastness as a extra heavy (additional) weight on the good side of the scale. Ameen

Salam alaikum to All

A bit I can say about this topic...that....
In my country,I have some frnds and relatives like they use to announce in a loud voice...always...that Im an athiest.....I don beleive in God....they always repeat and repeat....because they are afraid that if they are going to accept Islam, the things theay are doing now....they will not be able to do those....after being muslim.....

They havent got the true messege, right messege...as they dont find any logic....so they..use to make their own logic and think that they are the.......legend....

another thing: A muslim is always blessed by Allah SWT by His angels.....the Angels come to us with His rahmah and magfirah....so satan cant access...
on the other hand....the disbeleivers are not blessed by Allahs Angel, rather than they are blessed!! by the satan.....satan has the full access to their will......and they do not let the disbeleivers to accept the messege of Islam.....rather than they use to announce repeatedly...that they are Athiest.....its also a satan's handywork...

dont know the logic is valid or not......its from my little brain...as far I know....or can judge..

Jazakallahu Khairn wa barakallahu feeke
wassalam

This question puzzle me? Learn about Islam!

Because the guidance (tawfeeq and hidayaah) is solely from Allaah. There are those whom Allaah has given a heart, two eyes, two ears but yet they are sealed from knowing the truth. Allaah knows best of those who deserve His guidance and those who not.

"Indeed, those who disbelieve - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment." Al-Baqara,2:6-7

The characteristics of the Munaafiq are explain in this following ayaat until that Allaah put sealed into their heart:

"When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, "We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah ." And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.

They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah . Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.

That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they do not understand. "
Al-Munafiqoon,63:1-3

The people who were given the kitaab but yet disbelieve in the message brought by Muhammad sallallahu a'laihi wa salam was due to their arrogance. They knew that Muhammad is a real messenger but yet they denied it.

"And when a messenger from Allah came to them confirming that which was with them, a party of those who had been given the Scripture threw the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know [what it contained]." Al-Baqara,2:101

"Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path." Al-Baqara,2:213

:The other one that questions me even more, why would anybody(non muslim) care if another person is muslim? Why so much effort to fog the truth?

This reminds me of the ayaat:

"And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance." If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper." Al-Baqara,2:120

Try going over the translation of Suraah Al-Baqara and Al-Imraan.

Indeed, even those who may have fight so passionately against Islam (before knowing the truth about Islam), it isn't impossible for that very same person to embrace Islam and then fight for the cause and sake of Islam. Allaah guides whomsoever He wills.

But yet, we as Muslims are not even sure if we will end our life as a true believer. Thats why we are encouraged to make dua'a constantly to gain Khusnul Khatimah (a good ending) in our life.

In a lecture I once listened, the speaker said that the way how we spend our whole life will affect the way on how we die. If all our life we kept ourselves busy with dhikir, ibaadah and good deeds, inshaAllaah the tashahud/shahadah that we kept saying daily, we will be able to utter it at the final moment of our life. InshaAllaahu Taa'la.

يا مقلب القلوب ثبت قلوبنا على دينك
O Sustainer of the heart, keep our hearts firm on the deen.

Ameen.

I seek forgiveness from Allaah if I have erred in my words.

mashAllah, very good; may Allah reward you.

alhumdillilah, may Allah increase for us sakina, and hidayah.

as for the enemies of Islam:

as Allah, swt says; in translation of Hilali&Khan:

The parable of those who disbelieve in their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a stormy day, they shall not be able to get aught of what they have earned. That is the straying, far away (from the Right Path). (14:18)

Do you not see that Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth? If He will, He can remove you and bring (in your place) a new creation! (14:19)

And for Allah that is not hard or difficult (i.e. very easy for Allah). (14:20)

And they all shall appear before Allah (on the Day of Resurrection) then the weak will say to those who were arrogant (chiefs): "Verily, we were following you; can you avail us anything from Allah's Torment?" They will say: "Had Allah guided us, we would have guided you. It makes no difference to us (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience, there is no place of refuge for us." (14:21)

Aapa

Mirajmom
Assalaam walaikum,

If I may shed some light into the issue it may help answer why someone would not want to be a Muslim.
When we are in the state of Believing we are in a state of being receptive to the Blessings of Allah. We Believe that no matter what one encounters..it is always a Blessing. Thus as those who Believe say Alhumdullilia under any and all conditions. Our books are written. He we Praise...To Him We Run.

When one is in a state of disbelief or nonbelief..they do not have the understanding of the blessings. They chase after everything. It is easier to live life. You do not have to be accountable. You do not have to think of your brothers and sisters. You do not have to honor your parents. You do not perform acts of charity for the fear and love of Allah. You can neglect the reality around you and live in your made up world. There is no neighbor. Your ego is your universe. You serve yourself because there is nothing else.
You come and go as you please. You sever the ties that bind. You think you are the one in charge..numero uno...the top dog...why would you bow down to anything.

And a Muslim knows his Belief thus he bows down
