Asslam u Alaikum brother,
Link of the column posted by brother mhamzah is written in the background of "Lal Masjid incidents" where hundreds of students (including young girls) were killed. It is certainy very tragic incident:
Spirit of this poem is the pain -the poet feels over the gloomy state of his homeland. This feeling can't be translated...but I will try to translate the words (though this will lose the real meaning ...as I am not a poet)
Yesterday was a bizarre cruel sunrise
Sorrowness has been prevailing since Dawn
My inhabitations were full of fire smoke
My cities were filled with flames
My paths were bleeding
My every town was full of agony
There was filth on my land
and my skies were dusty
The glass of my delicate imagination
is broken due to extreme continence
The shadows of the beautiful memories in my heart
had flown away................
All these piles of pebbles around me
There were used to be shops of pearls
These top coverings of smoke
Clouds used to swing here..at this place
The light which is now bleak and devastating
There used to be beautiful, colorful globes
The places where beasts have got their camps now
Fire flies used to have flightes here
