    Salam!

heheh.... It's only interesting when it's fast ... you know when you get to see awesome shots and then the 4's and 6's and the wickets in lesser time. There's nothing more to it than that. However, I prefer soccer to cricket cuz cric sumtimez get boring( especially when you are trounced).... hehe.....Well, what can I say about Bob Woolmer? He was such a nice person. He didn't deserve this fate but then Allah knows best.

    Bangladesh is a suck.

Their crap-ness has left me speechless and unable to use proper grammar.

    looooool...

crapness? hahaha... wow... that's pretty funny.

what happened now? they didn't make it to the semi's did they? I didn't think they would.

I have a feeling - EVEN though we U.S.ians don't usually watch cricket, and i DON'T ... but New Zealand and Austrialia look like are gonna be in the final match or whatever ya'll have.

I didn't have much hope for Bangladesh, no offence. But it was funny to see the country people all rallied up. The day the won against India, my father was listening to the BD news and the newscaster was talking about how the people were sitting on thier roofs??? watching and how after the win everyone was parading around and the jubiliation was crazy.

but hey, that's like almost the same with any hardcore sports nutters out there. right?

yep. ok then. i've done my ignorant rant now..... tennis, in world cup cricket?

well yes, i like tennis, not love. Badminton's better :D

Well, I wasn't expecting them to enter the semis either. But they, only one hour ago, finished losing to Ireland - I think Bangladesh get too big-headed after one good victory; "yay, we defeated South Africa, surely we can take over the world now!!". Now they are right at the bottom of the Super 8 table. Sigh. I guess I'm mainly annoyed because I stayed up the night to watch this one (11pm to 7am).

Tennis and badminton are good :) I played for my school teams for both. Don't play cricket competitively but watching cricket is still more fun than watching the other two. Unless the team you're supporting perform so abysmally. Salam alaikum.

PS: I'm an NZ supporter anyway! :D

    PSS: Nice avatars!

oh, ok. Taking over the world one cricket match at a time! To affinity and beyond! i don't know. but i for one would never do that (stay up). I like my sleep thank you, and no team will prevent me from going to bed.

Actually I don't really watch any games. Like as in teams and stuff. Playing is fun, but watching others isn't too much. And WATCHING tennis or badmintion ... give me no better lulluby!

*boing* ooohhh ball over there *pwhook* ohh feather over here *bash* ooohh they missed *silence* there goes that round.

watching those sports is sooo dull......

lol. ok then. thanks for the update.

I'm a NZ supporter too, if you could call it that. If they make it to finals, i just hope Austrailia doesn't win. they won last yr right? it's not fair to be such a hoggart.

    and...lol thanks. My kitty could beat all o' them. :D :D :D

As salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wabrakatuhu
whatever the case cricket is more fun to watch than any other game I feel. Its more interesting than baseball even. Look at the swing bowling, or the spin, or the googly. The short pitched or the yorker. One that takes away the off-stump or hits right on the blockhole.Oh boy !!!!!!!! You wana look at the off-drive or the square cut or that pull shot or the flick of the wrist. Come on.!!!!!!
The catch on the silly point, or the one on long off, the run out or the bowled.sixes or 4's. Man this is too much. Over all its not that bad, even though it takes one whole day.
the semi-finals is going to be interesting.
I hope South Africa wins this time.
    wa/salam

Bangladesh was running high on over confidence. New Zealand too is a good contender for the cup I feel.

wa alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

whoooooaaa... slow down a bit. Run those terms by me again...

swing bowling? Googly? short pitched yorker? off-stump, block hole? off-drive, square cut? pull shot?

*groan* NOW i have realized WHY i don't enjoy cricket, it takes to much thinking to actually sit down and ENJOY the game!!!

Aside from that... give me good old soccer or basketball anyday. I think those are the only two sports i've been actually able to watch with interest.

That being said...... what's the next match if anybody knows. Not that i even plan on watching, just curiosity.

NZ just lost to Sri Lanka. :( It seems when ever I decide to stay up the night to watch the whole match, the team I'm supporting loses! Sigh. I'm supporting Sri Lanka now, but I have this funny feeling they won't win the final.

    :salam2: Brothers and Sisters,

    final this saturday, i think.

Sri Lanka vs Australia. Australia haven't lost a match so far in the World Cup and i don't think they'll be losing this one either.

Sri Lanka vs Australia, definitely a match to watch.

Cricket is Chess played across 22 Yards; only the worthy play it; only the intelligent understand it.

well I pity for South Africa. I liked the team really. Final is gona be interesting. Note that Sri Lanka has some quality spinners. West Indies' pitches are unusual. If it rains its gona be a tough match for both sides. Aussies are running high on their wins. I wish Sri Lanka wins, tired of aussie getting the cup so many times.
