ok well i have another question; just out of curiousity its not happening to me thank God lol. but what if a house is being haunted by ghosts or demons or someone sees these; what is a islamic response to this sort of thing?
Salamu alaykum
House that is not following shariah, meaning, is not a house of 'aibadah, a place of worshipping and praising ALlah subhanahu wet'eala, more likely will have shayateen or jinns who are kaafirs, sinners, or criminals. They help the people of the house do evil deeds and also might bother the people of that house. It is possible to hear them, but not see them in their real form. The jinns can take a look or a form of someone else (animal, a human etc.) but we can not see their real shape, alhamdulillah.
That is why you hear on tv shows, news the appearance of ghosts. People say "i saw one of my relatives appear as ghost who died" infact, it is not the soul of the relative who came but it is the Jinn who took the form of that relative in order to either scare, trick, or misguide people. For example, let's say people who do shirk and do not have the proper knowledge. For example, a fire worshipper throws himself into fire and dies, thinking he will go to paradise because he worships fire. After he dies, his jinn(qarin) everyone has one of him who follows us our whole life. So, his qarin who new the person well takes his form and comes back in the form of that man who threw himself into fire. He tells someone else "go and throw yourself in fire i am in paradise", tricking another person to comit shirk and thus throwing and killing himself and going to the hell fire forever.
This was just an example. Shaytann came once to shaykhul islaam ibn taymiyah and told him "you have reached a great level, you do not need to pray nor fast no more" shaykhul islaam ibn taymiyah told him "you are a liar, resulullaah
was better than me and he prayed, fasted etc. Then the shaytan said "good, you have saved urself from me with ur knowledge" the shaykh replied "no, you lied again. Allah saved me with this knowledge". He tried to trick ibn taymiyah first time and then when he couldn't, he tried to trick him second time by becoming arrogant of his knowledge, which he failed again. Alhamduilllah
A house that is obedient to Allah azzawajal, that house is full with angels, jinns muslims and they help the inhabitans of the house to do more good deeds. They do not bother the muslims of the house and they pray, fast, and eat with the muslims.
If we live in a house that we might think that has jinns who are not riches, we need to recite the quraan, muawithatayn (surah falaq, naas), athaan, do thikr, perform salah, have no pictures on the walls, no dog ( in hadith that angels will not enter a house that has an idol or a dog). No music, no cursing, etc. The house has to follow shariaah. After that, inshAllah they will either become muslim themselves (you will get a big reward) or with Allah's permission they will leave.
