What would you do if you were told that you are going to die in a few minutes? You would pray like mad right? And ask forgiveness? And you wouldn't even be distracted thinking of this world, you would just think of death and hell and heaven and the grave and your sins. And you would probably never leave the prayer! That's why we should think of death during salah. It makes concentration stronger.
