My First Engineering Job...Hurray :)

NOTE: My arms are wide open to receive any incoming sweets/gifts/congratulations :). Okay I don't know the culture. Do I have to give sweets or others have to give me sweets? :)

Assalamo alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

I pray that all of you are in the best of health and eeman
.

Alhamdolillah the day before yesterday (Monday June 25, 2012), I started my first engineering job. I work as a "Validation Specialist" for "Hi-Tech Pharmacal".

I received this job offer approximately two weeks after graduation ceremony (June 1, 2012). However I was instructed by a close friend of mine to be silent until I join. He himself is a chemical engineer and works for Dupont. Plus he is a close friend so I had to act upon his advice. Therefore I apologize to all of you for not telling you earlier.

SOME DISCLOSURE:
About two months ago, I posted a thread entitled "In need of your precious duaas". In this thread, I asked to pray for me because life is not going as it was planned.

The context of that thread
During that month, I was called for an on-site interview by "Dupont" and "Kiewit" in Delaware and Kansas City respectively. Airfare, meals, and all other necessary expenses were paid by the companies. Those are two famous giant international companies and I really really really wanted to work for one of them. I tried my best. The first round of interview went very well. They called for me the second interview. That went well as well and then they called me for the onsite interview at their facility.

The onsite interview also went very well. I had to go through a series of interviews, background checks, and other assessments. It was a long tedious process. Through my sources I learned that a positive feedback was noted for me. I got all-excited BUT sadly something unexpected happened. I received a call from Dupont that I am on HOLD. It means that there are no open positions in the program that I applied for. As soon as any slot opens up I will be considered for it.

On the other hand, kiewit sent me a rejection letter.

As a result of those two incidents during that particular month, I got disappointed. That disappointment lead me to write that thread.

But subhanallah after some time I became aware of the other side of the coin. The other side is shinny and is full of blessings. After accepting the offer letter from Hi-Tech Pharmacal, I was informed by my mother that she had been praying that I don't get a job in any other State except NY. I was like really **maaa (mother)**..Subhnallah her duaas were excepted.

Her duaa had a major impact on what happened in the past and on where I am right now. I said so because initially I had no hope to be part of Hi-Tech as the position required at least two year of experience. It was due to their dua that "I am, what I am".

Now when I look back, I realize that
"Whatever happens, happens for a reason" AND
"Allah has best plans for us, we just to be a little patience"

So inshallah now I should start working on the next item in my "TO-DO-LIST". Would you like to guess what it is????

Wa-alaykumus salam

Wa-alaikumus salam wa rahmtullahi wa barakatuhu

Thanks you to all of you for your encouraging replies AND a special thanks to those who remembered me in their duaas. I am thankful to Allah, as I know of a deal which hopefully most of us know

"And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' " 14:7

“Remember Allaah during times of ease and He will remember you during times of hardship.” Narrated by Ahmad.

Allah makes it all happen. If life doesn't go as you plan it,then know that Allah has better plan for you.(I mentioned it before)...*smiles*

To experience what you have said above can't be described in words. It is a great inner feeling and the exact words to describe it are not available. At the end of the day, the trust in Allah increases exponentially.

Brother,We made duaa for you too.Give us some us credit:tongue:
Off course the credit goes to those who remembered me in their duaas. But someone else also gives a credit and this credit is much much more better.

“…the dua of a muslim for his brother (in Islam) in his absence is readily accepted, and an angel is appointed to his side, whenever he makes a beneficial dua for his brother the appointed angel says “Ameen and may you also be blessed with the same”

So..what's a validation specialist?

Validation specialist is a person who approves or disapproves any process. This is a very brief definition that I can give.

And here goes the sweet...

Thanks for the ladoos. :)

Indeed life is full of bitter then sweet surprises, mostly sweet, bitter just for the variety ;)
Interesting....
Sweetness and bitterness are like day and night. We need both of them, to know their true values.
If you want roses then you have to go through the pinches of the thorns...:)

Jazzak Allah khair dear brother for always remembering your brothers and sisters and for sharing your news with us. MashAllah, we all are very proud on you :)

I am proud of you all as well for remembering me in your duaas. I have shared my good news, so when are you sharing with us a good news? Oh oh...did I just put you on the spot?? :)

Assalamu allaicum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu dear brother

Of course you did not put me on the spot. :)

InshAllah when I have good news dear brother, I will share it.And of course, not everything good should be shared, but should be kept between you and your most loved ones. But MashAllah that you always have some happy news to share with us.:)

As for the second item...I am working hard on it...trust me.

Wa-alaikumus salam wa rahamtullah

Are you working hard to find **What is the second item on the list?**

Now we will wait to hear if you have memorized the Quran, hadiths etc...something related to Islam:) or you have already?

Alhamdolillah that is an awesome suggestion and I pray to Allah to give me the ability to do what is mentioned above. It is a common to see people perfecting one aspect by scarifying the other.
Balance is required and we tend to forget it..:(

Again may Allah bless your new job for you and everything else in your life, Amin!
Ameen..

See patience pays off!! ( I am trying to learn how to be patient)...so you're a perfect example to look at!
Mabrook ya Akhi!! Mabrook!

Instead of making someone who is full of deficiencies, a perfect example; one should make Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) his or her example. If he/she does that then inshallah he/she will never be disappointed.:)

PS: I can guess what the next item is---but I'll keep my mouth shut before I jump to any conclusions :p
Why? you are not making conclusions, rather you are guessing. A guess may be right or wrong and there are no negative consequences of guessing wrong . I for sure can tell that most of the brothers/sisters will guess wrong including those with whom I communicate outside of TTI.

Here is the HugE-E'hug :shake:

Looks more like a "e-hand shake" rather than a "HugE-E'hug"...What were you thinking bro? :)

'New Cleared engineer' (job) is now "Notclear" engineer!!

I see.... so you started playing with the words. hmmm

That "New Cleared engineer or Notclear Engineer" or in a direct terminology "Nuclear Engineering" is a matter of the past. I don't foresee myself engaged in that industry anymore.

So in red, and bold and you are hiding your face.
But, from the responses l
seems like highway is All Clear :holaaa:
Brother, hope its all clear to you now!! :SMILY128:

Trust me, my "TO DO LIST" is very classified. That means, no one has access to it.

The highway is pretty clear but the right speed and time is required. Over-speeding will result in accidents, which will result in further delays. I have already seen two accidents in the last week.

Here is chandrkala fried in desi ghee for you. :p

Thanks for the mitai. I have not tried that before. I am gonna search for this and if I find it, I will let you know how it was. :)
