I got those pearls in an email and I like to share them with you.



The Holy Prophet (SAW) Said:

1) Four things that make your body sick:

a) Excessive talking
b) Excessive sleeping
c) Excessive eating and
d) Excessive meeting other people

2) Four things that destroy the body:

a) Worrying
b) Sorrow (Sadness/Grief)
c) Hunger
d) Sleeping late at night

3) Four things that dry the face & take away its happiness:

a) Lying
b) Being disrespectful / impudent (insisting on something wrong knowingly)
c) Arguing without adequate knowledge & Information.
d) Excessive immorality (doing something wrong without fear).

4) Four things that increase the wetness of face & its happiness:

a) Piety
b) Loyalty
c) Generosity (being kind)
d) To be helpful to others without he/she asking for that.

5) Four things that stop the Rizq (Sustenance) :

a) Sleeping in the morning (from Fajr to sunrise)
b) Not Performing Namaz or Ir-regular in Prayers
c) Laziness / Idleness
d) Treachery / Dishonesty

6) Four things that bring / increase the Rizq:

a) Staying up in the night for prayers.
b) Excessive Repentance
c) Regular Charity
d) Zikr (Remembrance of Allah / God).

What does it mean by sleeping in the morning before fajr and sunrise? Can't a person go back to sleep after praying fajr even if its not sunrise yet? Because people do that a lot, especially during ramadan.

it's the first time for me to hear this hadeeth, i heard also hadeeth about the effect of sleeping at 'al 3asr' time about if you get a headach so just blame yourself (لا يلومن إلا نفسه ) but i still don't know if it is right hadeeth or not.

Aslaamo Aleikum sister,

You can go to sleep after fajr prayer if you like There is nothing wrong with sleeping in morning.There no text (of Qur’aan or hadeeth) has been reported to indicate that this is prohibited. jazakallah khair. It says that if a person remains awake after fajr-sunrise, then there's lots of benefit, but if falls asleep, then no harm. As to sleeping after asr, here's what it says;

As for sleeping after ‘Asr, this is also permitted; there is no saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to indicate that sleeping at this time is prohibited.

As for the words, “Whoever sleeps after ‘Asr and loses his mind as a result has no-one to blame but himself,” which are attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), this is a false hadeeth and there is no proof that these words were uttered by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

I'd also heard the not sleeping after asr bit, but that seems to be false as well.

To my understanding it means "may Allah reward (or bless) you with good"
I had a better meaning but I couldn't figure out the word...

Nice thread I recieved this as an email....I've been really trying to apply that to my life.

It is my dream to spend a day with you and all my dear sisters in Jannah in shaa Allah. This will be my greatest pleasure as only Allah knows how much I love you all.

We will sit and remember how we tried our best to convince those who came to argue against Islam and how many of them accepted the truth by the mercy of Allah, while others turned their faces away in arrogance!!!

Oh Allah, gather us all under the shade of your throne on the Day when there is no shade but Yours....Ameen
