So today I was at the opening of a small Muslim conference in a hotel. The event hadn't started yet as guests were still coming in, signing up, etc. The room that the conference use is located in the deep corner of the hotel, and as I was sitting I saw two female hotel staff walk towards that corner. Now..most of the men attending wore thobes and most of the women wore niqabs, I imagine the hotel staff might be surprised.
And as they walked back, I overheard them talking to each other, something like "Well..I've seen the Star Trek people here, and they were pretty strange too"
