:salam2:
I have a question seeing as ramadan is rapidly approaching alhamdulilah for that
During tarawih prayers, is it permissible to follow the imams recitation with an english translation of the quran?
I have a pocket quran that has the english translation on one side, with the arabic text on the other.
I know enough arabic (just the letters and vowels, not vocabulary) that I would be able to follow the recitation without being lost, insha'Allah. In fact I do it all the time with mp3 files
However, without the translation I don't know enough arabic to get the meaning of the recitation
So is it permissible for me read the english translation during the prayer while the imam recites the quran in arabic?
