Just Curious.......

What word do non-Muslims use to refer to "God" when they live in a Arab Muslim country. Do they use Allah or something else?

Salaamalikum,

This is interesting because the word "Allah" is so unique and perfect in Islam. Some Islamic scholars believe that the term "Allah" should not be translated, arguing that "Allah" as used in Islam is a special and glorified term whose use should be preserved, while "God" can also be used in reference to deities worshiped by polytheists.

Ideally, Allah is a pure term for God, with no partners or any human attributions. I wonder if these Christian Arabs no know this.

That's pretty funny okh (sister), it would make you pause and listen until you realize the Arab is a Christian lol

In my native language, Farsi, we have a (pure) word for God called "Khudaw" but we also say Allah, and use the two interchangeably.
