salamalaycoum,a friend of mine(dont know him personally) doesnt have a specific religeon he doesnt believe in a thing,actually he wants the truth..he sent a post about he wants the truth >>this was his post:

Briefly let me tell you what I believe …

All of time/space matter and energy are the same thing. The entire universe is a unified whole with only apparent separation in the mind of man. The essence of life is to destroy the separation and create complete harmony throughout the universe. Between man and man, and man and the creator.

Many religions claim they are the correct path to harmonizing the universe but THERE ACTIONS contradict this fact. Religion has been used as a tool for personal gain.

I am looking for the TRUTH . Universal, Eternal truth. This is the most important thing in my life and this quest is the journey we call human history. WE are on the shoulders of giants in terms of the world of natural science but what is most important to me is ethical progress. Unfortunately in this area many in this world have regressed rather then progressed and it has been the RELIGIOUS LEADERS who are the ones at fault.

i really want to lead him to islam coz i know islam is the truth..but im not sure how im suppose to tell him..i cant tell him strate away "islam is the truth" he'll say you said that coz ur a muslim and of course u'll say that..so i want to convince him that this is the right way with some examples..may allah lead him but i need a bit of ur help sisters and brothers..may allah reward everyone who helps me:)

since he is looking for the truth it s easy. you don t need to look for a away to present him islam. tell him that there is something which is islam and let him do his own research (read oran and hadith)after that he will ask question about what he read. you are not suposed to convince him but give him a Qoran like a gift and give him time to read it.

i think that the best thing you can do is to pray for him becuase only Allah can guide him. But ofcourse introduce him to Islam and dont hesitate to claim that Islam is the right way and is the truth because you can easily back your point up by presenting proof and showing him the perfection of the Quran and Sunnah. Tell him you are not claiming Islam is the truth simply becuase it is your religion, but becuase you have come to the conclusion on you own that it is the truth and you have no doubt about it wut so ever in your heart.

the first thing that you have to break down is his misconception of religions and his labeling them as only causing chaos in the world. You have to make him realize that it is people and their extreme views that are the problem. and that can occur in religion and any other ideology such as secularism or athiesm. it is not religion that is the problem, it is people. and to label all religiions in such a negative way is unjust ad ignorant. He seems to be sincere in his quest for truth. so inshAllah, God willing, may Allah guide him. ofcourse this site is a great introduction to Islam so introduce him to this site and videos of other reverts who were once in his position and were searching for the truth only to find Islam which completely changed their life in a beautiful way. Islam is perfection in all sense of the word. provide him with scientific proof and show him that the Quran contains scientific facts which were later discovered by humans and is also a perfect source of guidance in an ethical sense, which he seems to be searching for.
And Also if you introduce him to Islam always start with Allah and his Oneness. And Muhammad as the final Prophet who has delivered the Quran to us, being the source of guidance for all of humanity, then go from there.

I guess you can tell him that if he is looking for truth then he should read a few books about Islam with an open heart and insha-allah Allah will help him. You can make dua.

Do you believe in the New testament? Why did the Muslim guy quote from the new and old testament if that is the corrupted word of Allah. That should be irrelevant, you can either acknowledge a scripture as valid or say it is invalid but you can not pick and choose which parts are true.

Out of all people in the history of mankind who have caused problems for Muslims with there words and with there actions it would have to be Jesus. DESPITE anything you say about his message being distorted, the fact that he came to earth regardless of the actual facts of what he said has caused great problems for Islam.

Nour said she believes in science you have not offered her proof that the Koran is true based on science. Do not give me some vague quotes about something general that could be interpreted many ways. What I want from the Koran is SPECFIC scientific knowledge for example the length of the lunar month , specifics about species on earth or something that is clear.

I do base a religion on the actions of its adherents. It is not the only thing I base it on but anyone can create a religion and blame the followers for not following it and say they are not representing the religion. It is the job of Muslims like you to control the radical elements and get them to stop disgracing Allah. This to me would seem much more important then anything else going on in your life.

so i guess i have to show him sceince in quran..oh that is gonna big research unless anyone of you have this topic already..

oh ya i remmemberd that i saw this thread here "science in quran" ill look for it now..but is it enough to only show him science in quran or do i have to tell him somthing else/?

asalam wailkium. This person is coming from a astronomical interest, and he realises there must be some purpose to this grand universe which he has studied.
First i would tell him that this universe which he talks about is evidence of the creator itself. The universe has millions of galaxies, and within each galaxy there are millions of more stars. All of these grand structures and the laws governing and maintaining indicate design and complexity and thus are clear proof of god's existence, greatest and wisdom/ability. But us human beings, we didnt understand any of these things, we didnt eve know about our own earth, so its clear that god who created these environments then put us humans on it so that we can come to know about who we are and our relationship with the rest of the universe and god almighty. But to provide us this link ie the totally picture, only god can inform tell us, otherwise our views, our opinions are nothing but guess work. What the historians and archeologists and scientists have is guess work, which help to refine the truth, get us closer to it but can never provide the finish coherent picture. Its not enough just to explain this universe and its purpose we alsomust know how we humans are suppose to correctly within it. Only the one who created me and you, only he can tell us, and it makes sense that he would reveal himself to us, and tell us the answer to our purpose in life. So this media of communication from the creator to the creation is done through prophets and books the sphere of religion. So one cannot ignore this source of information since god does not communicate to us on a individual level, its for us to take the initiative and seek out the truth, so religion has its role we cannot ignore it. If we do that is arrogance on our part.
I would then say with islam we dont say that our religion is a path to harmonising the universe, we dont need to harmonise the universe, god has already done that, thats his duty, and the last media of communication which god has revealed ie islam, is the tool for harmonising mankind so he should follow/study it in order to know how a human being should live life eg ethical progress, and what his relationship is with the rest the creator. As for personal gain, he should not let the politics of religion affect his judgment otherwise it will distract him from reaching this universal truth he is searching for.
Finally i would give him the quran and specifically direct him to read those verses where allah talks about the universe and the role of mankind within it.

Eg Surah 21 al anbiya
30) do the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit) before, we clove them asunder, we made from water every living thing, will they not then believe?

16, 17) Not for idle sport did we create the the heavens and the earth (universe) and all that is between them. If it has been our wish to take a pastime we surely have taken it from the nearest to us (ie the angels), if we would do such a thing

19) To him belongs all creatures in the heavens and on earth, even those who are in his presence are not too proud to servehim.

I sent him(daniel) the science and quran article and i wrote to him in what the same ideas Amir_of_spain gave me(jzak allah kheer) ,but hes like denying everthing i mean hes not beleiveing in anything.hes driving me crazy.actually im in a religous group on net called"islam and other relgiouns" there are 14 members and im like the only muslim .i think there are other 2 muslims but all they could say is silence:girl3: and im struggling all by my self.but thanks alot to you guys ur helping me.coz there is some questions i could answer but there are other i face that i dont know how to answer in a relgious way or sometimes i don't have a backround about the thing..now i want to show you want he replyed i feel so mad at him that i just want to leave the group but im gonna stay telling the truth may allah give me the strength to do this

Are you familiar with Joseph Smith ? He was a prophet and he had an important message for everyone on earth. Why do you believe that Jesus cam after Moses? Why Do you believe that Mohamed came after Jesus and not believe that Joseph Smith came after them all?

Why could God not get it right the first time and tell Mosses what the deal was straight up ? Why are there still those Jewish people? Don’t they piss off God? He should get rid of them, he has gotten rid of other groups of people, why would he let these unbelievers live?

Are you denying that Islam has a bloody past? Did Mohammed sit in a tent and study his entire life peacefully? Joseph Smith never fought any wars with other countries!

There are several references in the Koran that appear to indicate the world is flat. There was a famous cleric in Saudi Arabia in 1982 who claimed the earth was flat ( I will get you his name if you want)

This Joe smith makes a good point and I am going to agree with him and extend it. Since the Nobel prize existed how many Muslims have won it in the scientific and mathematical fields? How many Jews have won it ?

The Muslims make up a much larger percentage of the population then the Jews, why would Allah give these infidels this glory and praise which you are agreeing is correct and accurate. Why were Muslims given none of the advanced technology that other groups of people developed and the Muslims now have to catch up to.

If the Koran contains true science why didn’t the people who knew how to read it and understand it tell there countries about the advances before they were discovered by infidels?

I think the answer is because all of the Koran “science miracles” are after the fact and they are using ambiguous language to fit in to the current scientific facts. Are there any predictions that the Koran makes about science that have not been proven true or false yet?

Does it say in the Koran that all the light on earth comes from the sun?

I found the answer about that the quran says that the earth is flat..alhamdullah i found evidence from quran but what about the other questions??!!
do you know that feeling that you just want to say that islam is your way and the TRUTH but at the same time you feel its sooo hard to show:girl3:
