Bless all of you by the name of Allah
my name is Isaac, and i always fill like Islam is the best religion, because everything still pure (from the coran to the verses). But i have few problems i'll say that i need somebody who will explain me some details such as (the virgin rumors, the women position in Islam,) please please try to give me more information regarding these things. As a black man, Islam is our religion (i am not trying to be racist in anyway, but what christianity did for my people who were slaves for 420 yrs? (they supported it with some biblical verses)) so please clearify me.

well i can tell you as a woman about the women in islam. they are held in a high esteem and are respected. we cover so as not to be used or seen as sex objects but rather to be appreciated for our minds and hearts. as woman in islam we have rights over husbands as they have rights over us. men and women in islam are equal but not identical. meaning due to their physical abilities and so on they are given different responsibilities. for example a woman can get pregnant- but a man can never get pregnant. it's impossible. the prophet peace be upon him said to those who believed "paradise lies under the feet of your mother", meaning that you must be good to your mother. and be kind to your father as well but the mom has 3x more respect then the father. because she bore the baby, carried it for many months, and went into labor. so islam commands us to be dutiful to our parents especially our mothers. you must obey your parents in everything except two things: 1. if they tell you to not believe in Allah then you do not listen to them.
2. if they tell you that you cannot marry someone due to their culture or race while the person is pious.
inshallah i'll let the other brothers and sisters quote ayats from the quran.
so there you have it. women are held in a high esteem.
another thing the prophet pbuh said to the men who believed is that men must be kind to their wives otherwise they have not truly believed. this isn't word for word- so i hope someone writes in quote inshallah.

Thank you for the message and your time. I already learned something....so what about polygamy? how can it be right for men to have multiple women? as far as i am concerned, i'll love to have only one(mother of my children).

there are different reasons for polygamy. a man cannot marry more than one woman if he is unable to take care of them. but if he is able to take care of them then he can do so. back in the days of the prophet the reason why men usually married more than one wife was because there were women who were widowed and so there children needed someone to take care of them and also the women needed protectors. and men are protectors of women. otherwise if a woman was left alone she could be bothered and given hard times. that was the main reason but allah did not say that men must marry upto 4 wives. they do not have to. it's a choice and it only applies if they can treat them fairly and take care of them and give them their due rights. if a man cannot do that then he should not marry more than 1. but if he is able to then he is allowed. Men are protectors of women. their responsibilities are to go out and work and bring home the food and clothing while the woman raises the children. one of the rights of women is that she can use his money(the husbands) and eat his food while she has her own money that she does not have to share if she does not want to. also men must give women dowry(a reasonable amount of whatever a woman wants as a gift for herself from the man, like jewelry or money etc.). i hope that helped. i'm not sure i explained it clearly. peace.

and as of our days now- there are more women then men- another reason why a man can marry more than 1 wife. cause those other women also need husbands.

Thanks to GOD that you have expressed Islam as a true religion but first you have to believe in one God who has no resemblence all powerfull capable of doing anything the way he wants and only God has the right to be worshipped, God reached mankind through his chosen prophets in dreams and revelation which were written down as books. The last of Gods prophet was Mohamed peace and blessing of God be on him and he was given the book callled the Quran he is the one who informed us of the virgin women of paradise. This women are preserved for those who have lived pure lifes worshipping one lord ALLAH and as justice from your Lord ALLAH will give men this beutifull pure women who would serve only the one given to them by ALLAH.

Regarding the virign Mary (Marium) peace be upon her, muslims consider her to be one of the most pious & righteous women who have ever lived on earth.

3:42 "And when the angels said: O Marium! surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of of the world."

We believe that the birth of Jesus (Essa), peace be upon him, was a miracle because he had no father. The One Who created Adam without neither a father or a mother, can create another man with only a mother.

My understanding of your question is this: "What will happen to pure & righteous women in the hereafter?" If you mean something else by your question, let me know.

The answer can be found in this verse: "If any do deeds of righteousness,- be they male or female - and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them." 4:124

And this verse: "For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward." 33:35

And other verses as well.

For paradise, a description of it is found in this hadith, The prophet :saw: said: Allah the Exalted and Glorious, said: I have prepared for My pious servants which no eye has ever seen, and no ear has ever heard, and no human heart has ever perceived. It is testified by the Book of Allah: "No soul knows what comfort has been concealed from them, as a reward for what they did". (32:17) Sahih Muslim, Book 40, hadith 6780.

Note that this reward is for both men & women. And there are alot of other verses in the quran and alot of other hadith's that describe paradise in much more detail, this is just one of them.

Allah 's Apostle said, "Treat women nicely, for a women is created from a rib, and the most curved portion of the rib is its upper portion, so, if you should try to straighten it, it will break, but if you leave it as it is, it will remain crooked. So treat women nicely."

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW ) said: "The best among you are those who treat their wives in the best manner." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 217


Narrated Aisha - "(The Prophet Muhammad) never beat anyone with his hand, neither a woman nor a servant." - Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1082

This show you how that the statues of women is held up high in ISLAM .Am talking about 1400 years ago. Its is just recently when western world came up with women rights.

About the virgins its only for those who die in the cause of Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty, the Wise It will be their reward in the hereafter.

The prophet Muhammad SAW treated his slave with dignity. u should make some reserach on slave and islam ..at the time of the prophet Muhammad SAW ...insha Allah if i find anything i will share with u ...

But the Prophet Muhammad SAW allow a slave Bilaal to make the Call of prayers ...he is the first Muezzim "Caller of Prayers" and there are hadith when a slave girl came to the Prophet for divorce of her husband when the husband was deeply in love with her ... the prophet Muhammad SAW allowed her to be divorce with her husband ...
