Imagine...

Assalaamu'Alaykum,

I was thinking, so i thought this was the best title, it may sound crazy but just think about it. May Allah forgive me for anything wrong i have said in the text below.

Imagine, if you were to return home and you found that everything had been taken, the furniture, electrical goods, beds, the expensive clock you purchased and even the curtains.

You can imagine, you would be in shock and devsatated, that everything you worked for had been taken in a short amount of time.

Yet, you make your way to the kitchen and on the worktop, you see this Glorious Book which you seem to have not noticed all this time. You think: What is it doing on the worktop? I thought i placed this at the top of the wadrobe?

You are very confused at this time, but you decide to pick up the Book and open to the first page. What do you see?

Surah al-Fatiha and its virtuous 7 Ayaat.

The same Surah which is named Umm al-Kitab:

Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Hurayrah narrated about Umm Al-Qur'an that the Prophet :saw: said:

It is Umm Al-Qur'an, the seven repeated (verses) and the Glorious Qur'an.

[Ahmad 2:448]

You read the Surah and you realise - What have i been doing? Travelling in my contumacy? Rejecting this beautiful Book? Not taking heeding of its lessons? Disobeying the Almighty plainly without realising the fact He is the All-Seer and All-Knower?

You realise your mistakes and everything comes into perspective, the fact that most of the items you owned will in the end depreciate in value while the Qur'an can neither depreciate or appreciate, simply because it is off the scale in terms of virtue and benefit.

You realise that the items you owned were indeed fruitless as they would cease to bring you benefit in the hereafter, where the real success will be determined.

You realise the items you purchased and own have brought next to nothing benefit towards the nourishment of your soul. Yet this Surah has provided nourishment you have yearned for. You realise that this Surah will provide nourishment for your soul continuously while purchasing new items consistently have failed to even amount a morsel of nourishment for your soul which you have experienced by reading and understanding the meaning of this Surah.

You realise your past full of sin and beg Allah of His infinite Mercy, that He may forgive you for your errors and corruption. You tears are trickling down your rough cheeks after all the sin, you feel the darkness that is present in your face and you ask Allah to replace this with light in your face in order for your cheeks to illuminate which you can feel in your heart.

You understand that in order to be of the successful you must change your evil habits to that which is good and end all dealings whether financial or personal with that which is evil.

You understand that in order to achieve this it will be through Allah's help only.

You leave that which is in the past and you vow in your heart with might and determination that you will not return to this evil state and ask Allah (subhaanahu wa ta'aala) to forgive you and aid you.

Alhamdu'Lillaah.

May Allah forgive us all for our sins which without doubt we all commit knowingly or unknowingly.

Ameen.

Walaykum Salaam.

Walaykum Salam,

May Allah reward you all with good.

I know its a hypothetical situation, but its amazing, how everything we work towards and end up owning/already own, can be taken in a flash, by Allah's will.

I felt the initial post covered 3 issues (i would say "things", but it sounds silly), the importance of the Qur'an, Allah's various Attributes and where we should strive, personally.

I felt i should just mention it.

Let's all strive towards that which will help us in the hereafter and not be of those who delay and end up missing the train in the hereafter because the fact is that there will be only one train, there will only be one call "All Aboard!!!", if we don't hear it, then Tough! What a grievous punishment to have heard the call but to miss the train, the subsequent consequences are severe!

[^ There i go again, its just how i think and the experiences i go through which leads to that. It may not be melodious but the message is there Insha'Allaah.]

Alhamdu'Lillaah.

Assalamualaikoom brot & sis,

first of all let me apologise for the error that i've made
before. i wld like to correct the statement of the sunat
prayer which i suggested. the suggestions i said on first
raka'ah i did said to recite Al-Fatehah 7x - so sorry, it shd be one time of Surah Al-Fatehah & 7x of Ayatul Qur'si whilst on 2nd raka'at i said to recite 7x of Ayat Qur'si - it's an error too the correction here - shd be one time
Al-Fatehah & 7x of Surah Al-Ikhlas.
i'm very sorry for the mistake as i never chk it properly.

brot IbnAdam77, since u still single so pls ignore this sunnah first. just concentrate on yr work or study & pray hard for one day insya'Allah u'll get a good mukmeen
wife, ameen.
for sister Ditta, that particular suggestion from me actually
not from Hadith but Sunnah Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
on hajat prayer. actually it was during my daughter's intermittent high fever she'll got it on every asr that week even after we brought her to the dr, her sickness still not cured. i was so worried for her condition so later on after informing my brother thru' the phone, he asked me to perform hajat prayer n do whatever he asked me to do that night as i'm the child's mother.
Alhamdulillah the next morning when she woke up from sleep, she looked so energetic n hungry.
