Jesus who is God, because anyone comes different saying anything about the bible concerning Jesus, old testament or new. In comparing the quran to the bible mostly you guys have just the same names of characters. often times the stories about the prophets themselves are different. blood sacrifice of the temple is not addressed; the convenant between God and the Jews; which God said in the bible is everlasting and forever is not addressed, or is it ?
you have to look at the pattern of God; God only sent angels to give messages not give new religious text, revelations. God interacted with Moses himself; an angel didnt give Moses the ten commandments; God interacted even with Jesus himself concerning the new convenant not an angel; all the new testament prophets when they received new teachings like the baptism of fire, it was from God directly not angel. So when Muhammad says an angel goes over the quran with him and not God, recieves this new revelation from an angel and not God is very suspicious..... but correct me if im wrong, did an angel deliver the new revelation in the quran or God?
Revelations talks about the 1000 year reign of the messiah from jerusalem. the messiah fulfilling the rest of the prophecies.
The book of revelations was not written by Paul, that would mean this book was written some 30 years after Paul's death.
Writer: The apostle John in exile
Date: EITHER c AD68-70 following the persecutions of Emperor Nero, but before the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70; OR c AD90-95 during the persecutions attributed to Emperor Domitian at the end of his reign AD81-96
Where written: The Aegean island of Patmos off the west coast of Asia Minor
Reader: The seven named churches of Asia, and the entire Church of Christ
Why: An apocalyptic book describing the revelation Jesus Christ gave to John. The beginning of the Bible (Genesis 1-11) is a prologue describing the downfall of mankind and his separation from God. Revelation is an epilogue in which God and man are reconciled through Christ
Apocalyptic - Greek for "uncover", "reveal". The revealing of great or violent events and especially the end of the world, often described in Jewish apocalyptic literature. The word is applied especially to the Book of Revelation which bears comparison with the Old Testament Books of Daniel and parts of Isaiah, Ezekiel and Zechariah.
In Asia Minor, John the Evangelist is to have been boiled in oil, and yet miraculously survived, and was thus the only original Apostle of Jesus not to be martyred.
Revelation was written .....
To warn and encourage the churches of Asia as they underwent internal problems and external persecution within the Roman Empire (chapters 1:1-3:22). It then describes how Jesus Christ the Lamb of God is the "instrument" of:
(1) God's judgment on the whole universe (chapters 4:1-19:10);
(2) The final defeat of evil (chapters 19:11-20:15), and:
(3) The coming of a new heaven and a new earth - the new Jerusalem (chapters 21:1-22:5).
It closes with Christ's final appeal to all mankind (chapter 22:6-21).
I'm asking what man did God inspire to write the book revelations (according to christainty) as the Quran is a recitation which was given to Muhammad pbuh we know where it comes from.
so what person was inspired to write revelations? was it Paul
So you believe Paul was inspired by Jesus pbuh (God incarnate) to write his books which say that anybody sees an angel after the gopsles already produced eg new testemest is from the devil - as you quoted galetains 1:6-12?
peace.
