Assalamo alikom dear sister

Well, first I am a sister as well.

Second, I am sorry if the picture frightened you. I just found it very suitable to what is going on in Gaza.
I have a question: have you seen any of the videos about the massacres that are going on right now in Gaza. This photo is nothing compared to the REAL scenes of young children wrapped in their bloddy shrouds.
Have you seen the houses that were bombed over their inhabitants and how do innocent children, women and old men look like when pulled out of the debris??

Anyways, I am sorry again for frightening you, sister...actually i am soooo frightened and deeply sad!!!

assalamu alaykum,

Please do not post these kind of images here, whether or not you feel they are appropriate, they do not help.

I have a question: have you seen any of the videos about the massacres that are going on right now in Gaza. This photo is nothing compared to the REAL scenes of young children wrapped in their bloddy shrouds.

Since when is it a condition to help Muslims to see such things? Neither does it make a person any less brave or caring of fellow Muslims.

For those who have, if anything, this should spur people to obey Allah and his Prophet :saw: .

Instead, many just spend their time venting anger in every direction and never using their time to follow the Quran and Sunnah. Infact, they are opposed to it, wishing to go the easy root of following the emotions and those who speak merely with emotional rhetoric, accomplishing nothing.

Rather than copy the way of the disbelievers who make haram cartoons, who do protests where they burn flags and shout angrily and basically beg the disbelievers to change things. Did it help when millions did the same to stop the Iraq war? By mixing with socialists, communists and those who care not to establish any Islamic state. Those who have views that oppose that of our perfect Islam!

Instead, we must stick to Islam, teach and call people to it, raise money and help those who are oppressed in any way. We do not need to do what the disbelievers do when they suffer. We do what our Islam has taught us.

The Sahaba, the Tabieen, the early Muslims did not do protests, they struggled hard to make sure the roots of the Ummah were firm in Islam and got their strength from there.

The prophet :)saw:) said, "You will surely follow the ways, steps, or traditions of those who came before you, span by span and yard by yard (very closely) even if they entered a lizard's hole you will enter it." The companions asked, "Oh prophet, you mean the Jews and Christians?" so he answered, "Who else!" [Reported by Imam Bukhari]

Question: What is the way to proceed regarding the Palestinian issue, which has, as the days pass, escalated in terms of complexity and violence?

Response: Certainly, the Muslim(s) feel much pain and great sadness at the deteriorating situation in Palestine, with matters going from bad to worse, escalating in complexity as the days pass, such that it has reached where it has (today). This is due to the differing (occurring) between the neighbouring countries, and their lack of united resistance against their enemy, and (likewise) their lack of adherence to the Sharee'ah which Allaah has linked to victory (and success). (This is also in addition to) the enemy vowing to oppose (the Palestinians) and remain upon the (Palestinians') land. And this entails great danger and adverse consequences.
The neighbouring countries need to rush to unite in their resistance (against the enemy) and adhere to the Sharee'ah in confronting this issue, which concerns them and all of the Muslim world.

And that which is worth mentioning here, is that the Palestinian issue is an Islaamic issue from the beginning (right through) to the end. However, the enemies of Islaam have strived immensely to distance it (this issue) from the Islaamic path and convey to the non-Arab Muslims that this is an Arab issue, and that it does not concern the non-Arabs. It appears they have succeeded in this to a certain extent. This is why I feel it is not possible to reach a solution regarding this issue unless it is deemed an Islaamic issue, and the Muslims support one another in salvation, and make jihaad against the Jews in an Islaamic manner, until such time the land (of the Palestinians) is returned to its (rightful Palestinian) owners. (In addition to) the trespassing Jews returning to their (own) lands where they came from, thereby leaving the true Jews to remain in their lands under the rule of Islaam, and not communism and nor secularism. Thereby, truth shall prevail and falsehood will be abandoned, and all rightful owners shall return to their lands under Islaamic rule, and not under any other (rule).
And Allaah is the Expounder of Success.

Shaykh Ibn Baaz

Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh: "Indeed waging war against the weak Muslims in Palestine is (Israeli) terrorism and oppression"...
Earlier today, Fatwa-Online was informed that:

Shaykh 'Abdul-'Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh, the muftee (one qualified to pass fatwa) of Saudi Arabia and the head of the Council of Senior Scholars and The Permanent Committee for Islaamic Research and Fataawa mentioned in the khutbah of 'Arafah that what is going on in Palestine is (Israeli) terrorism.

Summarily therefore, the Shaykh began by advising the congregation of pilgrims to fear Allaah in secret and openly and to soley single Him out for worship, in addition to establishing the pillars of the religion and holding steadfast to the clear path of Allaah and adhering to the Sunnah of His (final) chosen Prophet (Muhammad) (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) in all their actions and speech.

The Shaykh explained that Allaah's purpose in creating the Jinn and mankind was so that they would sincerely worship Him alone, having clarified for them all affairs of the religon (of Islaam) so that they can seek guidance from it. And He has given the servant (of Allaah) a choice (free will), just as he has clarified all that relates to the religion in terms of interacting with others and establishing justice, thus paving the righteous way for mankind.
The Shaykh added that the religion of Islaam has commanded respect for the rights and preservation of people in terms of wealth, property and the self, and it has commanded peace(making) at (times of) war, as well as the prohibition of killing women and children, stressing that Islaam is far removed from terrorism, and that ascribing terrorism to Islaam is a major injustice.

The Shaykh continued by saying: "Indeed waging war against the weak Muslims in Palestine is (Israeli) terrorism and oppression".

The Shaykh stressed that: "Indeed the resentment of the enemies (of Islaam) is because the religion of Islaam is the seal (finality) of all the religions, and that its people are the best of people to come forth..." explaining that: "the religion of Islaam has given (each and) every person their rights and has honoured them by freeing them from the worship of (false) gods to the worship of the (true) Lord (Allaah) of the servants (of Allaah)".

The Shaykh explained that: "the enemies of Islaam offer a false culture and civilisation which (negatively) differentiates between mankind, and nullifies (all) agreements, offering all types of weaponry to destroy mankind".

The Shaykh mentioned that: "today the Muslim Ummah was passing through a severe phase which requires it to take a close look (at itself) so that it can become a single Ummah defending and protecting it's 'aqeedah".
The Shaykh expressed: "that which has befallen the Ummah today is as a result of sins and weakness of eemaan (faith) in addition to the presence of partisanship (tahazzub) and (much) differing in the religion; and the last of the Ummah will never be corrected except by that which corrected the first of the Ummah".

-------------

Question: What is the Islaamic Sharee'ah perspective of the current jihaad of the Palestinians; Is it jihaad in the Path of Allaah, or jihaad for the sake of land and freedom? And is jihaad for the sake of land (and freedom) considered as jihaad in the Path of Allaah?

Response: It has been confirmed to us by trustworthy and reliable witnesses that the Palestinian intifaadhah (uprising) and those who have stood forth in this are from the most dedicated Muslims there, and that their jihaad is (an) Islaamic (one). This is because they are oppressed by the Jews, and that which is obligatory upon them is to protect their religion and themselves and their families and children and to drive out their enemy from their land with all they are able to of strength.

And these trustworthy and reliable (witnesses) who joined (the Palestinians) in their jihaad and assisted them in that have informed us of their (the Palestinians') Islaamic enthusiasm and their abidance to applying the Islaamic Sharee'ah amongst them. So that which is obligatory upon the Islaamic countries and the rest of the Muslims is to assist and support them so they can be free of their enemy, so as to return to their land, in accordance with the saying of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala):
{O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allaah is with those who are pious}, [Soorah at-Towbah, Aayah 123]

And His (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) saying:
{March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor), strive hard with your wealth and your lives in the Path of Allaah. This is better for you, if you but knew}, [Soorah at-Towbah, Aayah 41]

And His (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) saying:
{O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment}

{That you believe in Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam), and that you strive hard and fight in the Path of Allaah with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know!}

{(If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwelling in Gardens of 'Adn *! Eternity ['Adn (Eden) Paradise], that is indeed the great success}

{And also (He will give you) another (blessing) which you love, help from Allaah (against your enemies) and a near victory. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) to the believers}, [Soorah as-Saff, Aayaat 10-13]

And the verses with this meaning are many.
And it is authenticated from the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) that he said:
((Make jihaad against the mushrikoon with your wealth, your selves and your tongues (speech)))
And because they are oppressed, then it is upon their Muslim brethren to aid them against those who oppress them, as the Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) said:

((A Muslim is the brother of a(nother) Muslim; he does not oppress him and nor does he hand him over (to the enemy))), its athenticity is agreed upon by both al-Bukhaaree and Muslim.

And his (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) saying:
((Assist your (Muslim) brother if he is the oppresser or the oppressed)), it was asked:
"O Messenger of Allaah: (we understand about) assisting him when he is oppressed, so how do we assist him when he is the oppresser?" He (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) said:
((Restrain him from oppressing (anyone), for that is asssiting your (Muslim) brother)).

And the ahaadeeth regarding the obligation of jihaad in the Path of Allaah and assisting the oppressed and deterring the oppresser are very many.
So we ask Allaah to grant our mujaahideen brethren victory in the Path of Allaah over their enemies in Palestine and elsewhere, and to unite them upon the truth and to grant all the Muslims the ability to assist them and to stand firm against their enemies and to forsake the enemies of Islaam wherever they may be and to descend upon the evil-doing and criminal people/nation (much) suffering, (that) which does not cease, indeed He is the All-Hearing.

No God but Allah
An Apology!!

Assalamo alikom

I do apologize for the thread I posted yesterday in which I attached a cartoon showing Olmert taking a bath in a pool of blood and his two servants, Bush and Brown, are standing for his service.

If I had known that the administrator is against it, I would not have posted it at all as I do respect the rules of this dear website.

Brother Mabsoot removed the cartoon and closed the thread after posting a very long and good article expressing his views and qouting the views of the great scholars.

I just prefered if brother Mabsoot just deleted the whole thread and started a new thread expressing his views.

Hadn't it been a better, more thoughtful and closer to Islamic ethics than closing the thread and describing my thread as if I copy the same way of the disbelievers????

Rather than copy the way of the disbelievers who make haram cartoons, who do protests where they burn flags and shout angrily and basically beg the disbelievers to change things. Did it help when millions did the same to stop the Iraq war? By mixing with socialists, communists and those who care not to establish any Islamic state. Those who have views that oppose that of our perfect Islam!

Ahamdulillah I never did anything of what brother Mabsoot mentioned.

I just posted that cartoon out of grief and anger over brutal massacres those devils are committing to Muslims in so many places on Earth.

I just wanted to tease them, to make the whole world see their reality. I just wanted to lampoon them.

I may have not chosen the right way to do that. If I can write poetry, I would have done the same thing the prophet peace be upon him encouraged Hassan bin Thabit to do when he said:

(10) Narrated Al-Bara: The Prophet said to Hassan, "Abuse them (with your poems), and Gabriel is with you (i.e, supports you)." (Through another group of sub narrators) Al-Bara bin Azib said, "On the day of Quraiza's (besiege), Allah's Apostle said to Hassan bin Thabit, 'Abuse them (with your poems), and Gabriel is with you (i.e. supports you).' " (Book #59, Hadith #449)

Wa alaykum salam,

Yes, I am sorry, although, it was not meant be personal. What you quoted was meant to be a general reference, not about yourself.

I felt that the replies given to sister Asja were a bit harsh. Therefore, I would have hoped there be a realisation of this, therefore did not delete the thread.

As for not posting because "the administrator does not want", then this is really not what the website is about. It does not centre around any one individual.

Here we stand for what is the right thing, in accordance to the Quran and Sunnah. Therfore, we all make mistakes and we need to be humble to accept what our Islam teaches us. We need to take from the Ulema of past and present and inshaAllah do our best to go upon that here.

I am sorry if you were hurt by anything I wrote, I should have taken my time to have send a PM and explained things. Allah forgive me and I hope that you do too.

Salaam,

My beloved brothers and sisters we all need to understand that our emotions are sensitive. We are all feeling very helpless. Sister Farhopes is one of our most intellectual members. She does nothing but help us to remain united.

Brother Mabsoot, we need to thank you for allowing us to vent. We need a place that is safe. A place wherein we can search for ideas and solutions.

As to the sensitive sister...I forced myself to view the carnage. I forced myself to look at the holocaust. I count my blessings. I know I will have to answer to Allah subhana talla on the Day of Judgement. What did I do. The graphic images remind me that I have to do something. Dear sister do not cry. Take that energy and make dua. Dear innocent sister make dua too that Allah subhana talla forgives the likes of one like me.

May Allah subhana talla in His Mercy give us hope.

Dear sister I only said that this picture is or cartoon is not suitable and that it affect for example on me,and maybe on some others brothers and sisters too.Wallahi we all are effected for this waht is happeing in Gaza and in onother Muslim countreis but it is only that we need to aproach to some things on diffrent way Inshallah, and like brother Mabsoot said that we need to study Islam and it is one of the way that we can help to our brothers and sisters and to all uf us Inshallah.

And regarding your words sister,Alhamdulilah it is very importnate that we respect each other feelings Inshallah, and if I am sensitive you should respect that sister Alhadmulillah becasue it is one of the Islamic manners.

And Alhadmulillah my eyes are wide open to see the truth, and sometimes heart can see better than eyes.

And I aslo need to say that if we want to show our support to our brothers and sisters we should chose some other way,and not the way how kaiffirs would do,Inshallah.

May Allah guide us all.

Okay, next time you get scared like that you should say :hawla: if your standing up you should also take a seat. Im not being sarcastic, these are the measures I would take myself if I got spooked, there are other du'aas you can say too to relieve anxiety and fear.

I know what you mean when you say 'became alive' cos when I see a picture of a spider, any type, big or small it looks alive, and I really hate it, but its better to get over such things.

OK ..Ive said enough, may Allaah help and guide us all Ameen.

But "become alive" has onother meaning than "get spooked" and you are not sarcastic dear sister. Never say that please. You have just said how you feel and what you would do Allhamdulilah.

But sometimes is better to keep our souls close and not discover them. It would be just like people have discover us. Do not look at my soul only Allah has right on that Allhamdulilah.

This is my last post on this thread as I do not find any use neither for myselfe neither for others. And Allah knows the best.
