How Many of Us...

Assalamualikum..
How many of us wear hijab because of Allah and how many of us wear hijab because of fashion?
How many of us wear hijab and at the same time wear tight clothes?
How many of us wear hijab and at the same time wear sleveless?
How many of us wear hijab and at the same time wear attractive colourful clothes?
How many of us wear hijab and at the same time wear pants showing off the figure?
How many of us wear hijab and at the same time wear high heel?
How many of us wear hijab and at the same time do wrong doings?

When we wear a simple one colour khimar,it is for Allah but when we are more concern about the colour, design it is for fashion.

this is the time to think deeply...what we are trying to prove

Kat M'sia biasa nampak ini semua...macam pemain baseball.

bukan setakat kat m'sia,mana-mana pun sama kecuali kat arab saudi sebab undang2 kat sana mesti pakai pakaian warna hitam dan hijab hitam.foreigner pun kena tutup aurat.kan bagus kalau semua negara islam macam tu.kat mesir lg teruk dr malaysia.kat sana semua wanita mcm model dan berpakaian mc kat europe

Sedih sekali..kat Mesir pun macam tu? Apa nak buat sister kita berdoa kpd Allah, kat office saya ni saya dah hantar mereka macam-macam e-mail pasal aurat, langsung tak dipedulikan oleh wanita muslimmah kita.

salam,
Nice one, just that I don't understand the attractive, sleeveless and high heel stuff. Can't one wear some thing attractive that is fully covered by the hijab just to go out with your husband and come back? and naturally some like wearing high heels that are almost covered by their abaya while some says they wear it because they are short and it prevent their dresses from dragging on the floor. What do one say to this?
JazakAllah khair

in Islam there is no such thing as wearing attractive when ur going out with ur husband.u are only allowed to wear attractive in the house with ur husband.when ur going out even with ur husband, wear something that doesn't attract others attention.plz do not wear perfume because this can cause zina(many types of zina, eyes, nose, mouth, heart and so on)

high heel will cause the tik-tik-tik sound and we also tend to walk in a very attractive way.this is not allowed because man tend to look at us through the shoe sound.if the abaya is long, just cut it at the bottom and sew.

the best muslimah is a woman who dress one colur abaya, one colour long khimar, flat shoe,no perfume,no make up.just be with ur natural beauty.ur diamond shouldn't be shown to the street if not u will lose the glow of it.:hearts:

I think you misunderstood me, I don't mean wearing attractive cloth outside, I mean under the abaya. of cause I know we wear it at home but like you are going out and you just put on your abaya on what you are wearing before. I guess you mean to say attractive abayas but not what we wear inside the abaya that is seen only by once husband. And for the high heel, is it because of the tik-tik sound or is just not is permissible, beacuse some flat shoes make the same sound.

Anyway to reply to your post sis, I hope to be able to change the wear I dress like wearing khimar and even niqaab Insha'Allah. Just now I saw a niqaabi driving a little rempit style. Hehee.. Think she was in a rush. Where I am, there are people who just wear the head cover which looks like snowcap.

I was going to make the same comment - many tennis shoes squeak on the floor; sandals sound kinda woody sometimes; clogs, well they make a clomping noise; flip-flops make a snappy sound; and even my flats make clicky noises....so to say one can't wear high heels because of the sound seems a bit silly to me. Unless we are wearing shoes with padded bottoms, nearly all shoes could possible make noises when walking. And I have heard before that wearing heels is like lying to say you are taller, and that seems a bit silly too! That would be like saying that if a fat girl wears an abaya (so her potential husband can't see how big she is) that she is lying to him about her size!

Personally, I don't wear heels (and didn't even before becoming Muslim) because #1 - they hurt my back, and #2 I have big huge feet (thanks for the foot genes, Dad) and cute heels don't look so cute on huge feet - they just draw more attention to my feet, so I stick to plain shoes that are easy to ignore, and then people ignored my feet completely.

I am not saying one SHOULD wear high heels, but lets at least see that the reason makes sense.

first of all, lets get the concept of high heel itself.why do women wear high heel?to look pretty.all the supermodels in the world wear high heel.all the women who goes to office wear high heel.almost 90 percent of women all around the world wear high heel.just simply they want to look good.so the concept itself is alredy wrong in islam..looking good for other than ur husband.even scientifically has proven the harm of wearing high heel.it has great effect on the back bone of a woman when she gets older.in islam ur not allowed to do anything that can harm ur body or urself.moreover, high heel is kafir's shoe.even during our prophet's time his wives do not wear high heel.so why do we follow the kafir rather than following our prophet's wives?
if flat shoe makes sound,it is ok because that is something u can't avoid and u have no intention of attracting attention.most of the flat shoes do not make sound unless there is some liquid at the bottom of it.choose the show with rubber bottom which doesn't make sound.if i can wear shoes without sound,so do u.

about the abaya,u may wear whatever u like inside the abaya and make sure the abaya is simple and not attractive.woman are not allowed to wear perfume at all when they go out.

sorry to say that, many people think that as long as they have covered their aurat, they are perfect....NO....what is the point of covering aurat yet u attract others attention.plz think about it and consider ur attire.Insyallah u will be the most beutiful woman in jannah.

many ppl dnt understand hijab. hijab is not just covering your head, but it's the whole body. every sister might as well just wear jilbab/abaya/burka because they are not tight or revealing or anything.

o0ops! I wear Abaya but my khimaars are NOT one color:( I have bright colors like blue, green, and red because I LOVE bright colors. subhanaAllah, I did NOT know we were NOT supposed to wear bright colors. It's sad because most of my khimaars are NOT plain or just a simple color:(

It's okay to wear bright colours if the culture is as such in your place. The point is to not stand out. Say you belong to an African tribe who dons colourful clothings. That would be the norm now, wouldn't it?

I have read before that A'eeshah radiyallahu anh wears orange before. Allahu a'lam
