:salam2:

i hope this one reaches all in the best of their imaan and health.

i have heard that Qur'aan give you the answers for the life's question.

this is what i have experienced and by Allah i am not making this up

1st instance :
@ sea when we were watching the skies, we saw a shooting star and my christian co worker said, 'make a wish, it a lucky omen' and stuff. i replied him that the devil is being chased for overhearing the heaven. He laughed at me and it ended there.

the next day when i read the Qur'aan translation, i same across the verses,

"16. And indeed, We have put the big stars in the heaven and We beautified it for the beholders.
17. And We have guarded it (near heaven) from every outcast Shaitan (devil).
18. Except him (devil) that gains hearing by stealing, he is pursued by a clear flaming fire." Soorah 15 - Al-Hijr.

i felt the goose bumps.

second instance:

at my work place a co-worker mocked at me for not doing my work properly. but it is baseless and unfair (because he himself couldn't do it when he tried and even then he mocked at me). naturally i was so saddened. Though i was patient at that time, i seriously wanted to take his case up and retaliate

after that incident i came across this verse of Qur'aan:

14. Say (O Muhammad SAW) to the believers to forgive those who (harm them and) hope not for the Days of Allah (i.e. His Recompense), that He may recompense people according to what they have earned (i.e. to punish these disbelievers, who harm the believers). Soorah 45 - Al Jathiya

after that i didn't go in his way of job and he didn't trouble me much.

3rd instance:

this one is interesting. we came across a phenomena called 'Abnormal Waves' where the waves can rise up and hit the ship which is enough to break it apart. it was a situation so serious that even the captain of my ship (which is decently big enough) was worried about. And it is the first time i was about to experience anything like that. NOTE that it is not STORM which is a relatively common occurrence at sea. but this one is not

anyways. before that abnormal condition i had made a covenant with Allah and after the danger has passed, the waswaas by shaitan inside me almost made me retract :astag: but alhamdulillah! Allah saved me as i came across this verse soon after this incident.

31. See you not that the ships sail through the sea by Allahs Grace? that He may show you of His Signs? Verily, in this are signs for every patient, grateful (person).
32. And when a wave covers them like shades (i.e. like clouds or the mountains of seawater), they invoke Allah, making their invocations for Him only. But when He brings them safe to land, there are among them those that stop in the middle, between (Belief and disbelief). But none denies Our Signs except every perfidious ungrateful
.

If you can notice, Allah did not mention the word strom as He mentions in some other verses. Rather the word 'waves' is being used here. EXACTLY the phenomena i mentioned. Subhan Allah.

i have mentioned only few. but there are numerous occasions that Qur'aan has answered while i was in sorrow.

have you experienced a similar thing??

is there any fatwa about this situation? because i cannot know for sure whether it is common thing to happen.

and i am concerned because i read a hadeeth, which goes like..... Rasool Allah (pbuh) has said : whoever interprets Qur'aan in his own knowledge has erred even if he interprets correctly.

btw i have tafsir ibn katheer which i use and it all happened at sea where i cannot ask for the opinion of a scholar because of lack of communication facilities and no internet

help me please.

that is exactly the way i felt in all those situations sister. i just hope it is a grace from Allah (swt) and that it is not a sin.

and actually if you see those preceding verses of Al-Jathiya (mentioned in second instance), i am sure you will be amazed. Allahu Akbar.

look for yourself.

Assalamua'laykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Akhi, I believe at some point in our life, we can really feel Allaah had helped us (though every single thing that happen is with the will from Allaah); "leading" us to some goodness, to the right road that we should be taken. It did happened a few times before, where I encountered such situation during the time of grief, discomforts and sorrow, opened up Al-Quran al-Kareem as a source of peace and tranquility. Then, Allaah subhanahu wa Ta'ala actually "directed" to the EXACT ayaat that relate to what I was going through at the time being, and it actually gave a sense of peace of mind and made one think of everything happened as a hikmah. Allahu Akbar, SubhanaAllaah.

is there any fatwa about this situation? because i cannot know for sure whether it is common thing to happen.

IMHO, accidental occassions like this wouldnt require the need of a fatwa. It does seems as a grace from Allaah, therefore we as His 'abdu should recite lots of dhikr to Him Azza wa Jalla, being thankful and grateful for everything that He has shower upon us.

Wallahu a'lam.

Wassalamua'laykum wa rahmatullah.

wa alaykkum assalaam

it is true that when I see such verse at so and so times, I am reduced to tears.

but later the waswaas like 'it has been revealed regarding companions of the prophet' and 'it is not regarding your situation!' really disturb me. i seek refuge in Allah subhana wa ta 'ala from it.

to put it simply, i fear misinterpretation. is their any fixed laws for Al-Qur'aan's interpretaion???

@ both sisters, Jazak Allahu khyir for your replies. I put my trust upon Allah. Allah said the truth when He said 'Little is the thanks men give'.

Glad tidings sister
when i was worried these are what i came across!!! :)

25. And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan).
26. Then where are you going?
27. Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the Alameen (mankind and jinns) .
28. To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight,
29. And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all
that exists). Soorah 81 - At takwir

and

49. Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!
50. Then in what statement after this (the Quran) will they believe? Soorah 77 Al-Mursalat

i don't know whether it makes sense to you but when i was worried, it did really made sense to me.

sobhanallah:)i know had i opened the Quran when i was worried i would have found something similar....
what i find fascinating is that one finds the ayah in complete confirmation to his/hers type of worry and confusion...

just to mention.someone i know was really worried about something and it seemed as if everything was going unfair for that person.it kept on coming to me that why will ALLAH allow such misery and cruelity.i started recitng the Quran and i got my answer like none could have answered me.i came across the story of hadhrat musa and hadhrat khidar allhisalam.which expalins clearly that there are things that apparently seem wrong to us but have deep meaning effects of which we have no knowledge.

it's here:http://www.turntoislam.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63643

what is facsinating about these small incidents that at times the verse may not have direct relation with the situation but conveys the msg clearly:)the one reciting can derive sense from it when others may not see the connection:)it's something i can't explain.....

Salam alaikum....

Yes Alhamdulillah.....I've some experiences....so lot that I cant even make decision, which one to be shared....
the thing is that: Allah SWT will show signs....everytime...to the Mu'mins....becoz, Allah SWT said in the Quran: that I've sealed the hearing/seeing/feelings of the disbeleivers so that they cant think of Me....coz they didnt/dont want Me to find.........I've just said it in my own language.....
so nothing to worry Inshaa'Allah.......I use to say, when it does happen to me:
01.Allahu Akbar
02. and I testify: Asshadu Allah Ilaha IllAllahu wahdahu la sharikala, wa asshadu anna muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu....

Assalaamu alaykum,

mashaAllaah! qur’aan – The light, dhikr, the mubin.

Sometimes I have gone through some feelings as mentioned and that moved me,subhanAllaah!

during eating to an extent I felt that this meal is just one of the so many many blessings of Allaah upon His servants and energise us back.

many narrations from early muslims concluded that they felt the ayaat of qur’aan directly and specifically address them and trying their best accordingly.

Thank-you and jazaakAllaahu khayr!

jazak Allahu khyir for all the brothers and sisters.

Allah subhana wa ta 'ala has indeed lifted my burden everytime this waswaas came to me.

but ofcourse it is our duty to consult it with fellow muslims when we have something in our mind. that is the reason behind this thread. now that i know that it is not uncommon and there is nothing wrong with it, i feel more relieved.

Surely no one can misguide a person whom Allah has guided and no one can guide a person without the will of Allah subhana wa ta 'ala.

just wanted to say 'Lets put our trust in Allah. He is sufficient for us'

thanks again.

Assalmau allaicum wa raahmatullah wa baaraktuhu dear brother/ sister.

It hapend me too, the time I have decided to start wearing hijaab. The time I wished to fullfill Allah commend for wearing hijaab, and asked Allah gudiance and help to help me to decide wearing proper hijab for His sake, I would all the time find the ayah where Allah subhan we teala sais: "And when thou art resolved, then put thy trust in Allah. Lo! Allah loveth those who put their trust in Him ( Ali Imraan, 159). After I red few times this ayah, I decide to wear hijab SubhanAllah, because I felt Allahs words in my heart.

May Allah help you to find your answers, Inshallah.
