------------------------------------

Warning: videos includes chocking images of Iraqi babies

------------------------------------

The number of babies born with severe deformities and children developing leukaemia is rising dramatically in parts of Iraq.
US forces used depleted uranium weapons to attack the city, which locals say has left them with this devastating legacy.
One report even says the number of such illnesses in Falluja is higher than that recorded after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
See some of the deformed and desperately ill children, and meets some of the people battling against the odds to rebuild their lives, and their city.

Why is it that the USA is the only country remembered for having taken part in the war in Iraq and then in the continued conflict?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_invasion_of_Iraq
"Four countries participated with troops during the initial invasion phase, which lasted from March 20 to May 1, 2003. These were the United States (248,000), United Kingdom (45,000), Australia (2,000), and Poland (194). 36 other countries were involved in its aftermath."

It was not the USA that started this or authorized this, tho our soldiers died to protect the lives of Muslims...and they are shunned and hated the most.

"The Persian Gulf War (August 2, 1990 – February 28, 1991), commonly referred to as simply the Gulf War, was a war waged by a U.N.-authorized coalition force from thirty-four nations led by the United States against Iraq."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_War
"The invasion of Kuwait by Iraqi troops that began 2 August 1990....."

"U.S. President George H. W. Bush deployed American forces to Saudi Arabia almost 6 months afterwards..."

"The great majority of the military forces in the coalition were from the United States, with Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Egypt as leading contributors, in that order.....

"Around US$40 billion of the US$60 billion cost was paid by Saudi Arabia...."

"The coalition ceased their advance, and declared a cease-fire 100 hours after the ground campaign started."

To be fair, let us not forget about Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti :
"Kill tally: Approaching two million, including between 150,000 and 340,000 Iraqi and between 450,000 and 730,000 Iranian combatants killed during the Iran-Iraq War."
http://www.moreorless.au.com/killers/hussein.html

http://walt.foreignpolicy.com/posts...uslims_has_the_us_killed_in_the_past_30_years
If you scroll down part way, there is a chart that compares deaths for the last 30 years, Muslims, Civilians, Military, children, innocent, ect...the following paragraph shows that this article was written w/o favor to the United States.

Please excuse my ignorance of the Qur'an and Muhammad's (pbuh) teachings but was it not Muhammad (pbuh)that repeated what I *know* Jesus (pbuh) said...something along the lines of "he who is without sin cast the first stone....remove the stye from your own eye, then that of your brother's....remove the plank first from your own eye...leave first and pay your debts to your brother, then prostrate yourself..."

Again, I apologize for my ignorance of Muhammad's teaching but I only remember the words slightly.

While I am not trying to proclaim that America is completely innocent and blameless, I personally would rather see and learn about Islam and its GOOD things and learn what being a Muslim is really like, such as in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2LRnz4jHkU

How can we, as individuals, learn and grow in peace.....if all we look for is what is not peaceful? Yes, there is crime against Muslims here in the United States. There's also crime against whites, Christians, Jews, blacks, homosexuals, non-homosexuals, children, the elderly, Indians, Native Americans. Anyone is fair game when you have a diverse group of people who live together as a society. It is up to US, the single person, to stop the hate and fear and distrust. Promoting news of such atrocities WITHOUT painting a fair picture causes rifts that turn into chasms that then turn into unnavigable mountains. Do we really want to bring a mountain in here?

I wish everyone peace and warm wishes on this last day of a most peaceful month. Enjoy!...and for tomorrow, as we would say in English..."Happy Eid!"

Can you tell me where you read this quote of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W ???[/QOUTE]

"Please excuse my ignorance of the Qur'an and Muhammad's (pbuh) teachings...."

I really wish I could....I will endeavor to find the story/teaching.

shall i show you the video of the attitude of the U.S soldier that forces every Muslim to fight them .. shall i show you the video of the U.S forces in Iraq using Quran as a target practice ???

Osama Bin Laden attached the United States. Does this mean he is THE example to look at when a person wants to know what an Arab, defender of Islam, servant of Allah and true believer is? If so, then I could say that ALL arabs are cave dwelling, dirty, violent people who kill elderly and children. Is it the truth. No. Do not hold ONE, or even SOME soldiers up as THE example of who we are as a whole. Those soldiers, if found out, would be punished in a court of law by the military justice system (which is far harsher than civilian law). Please feel free to send those information about these videos to: http://www.jag.navy.mil/contact.htm and click on the link "International"

you need more of such U.S attitude ?? it is this attitude of U.S that is creating all the problem .. they need to stay in their place and stop poking their noses in others matter..

I am truly sorry that you feel personally feel attached by us, and in turn, me. I can say that the United States, as a GOVERNMENT, is only trying to fight terror. Our system of government is different from yours (I'm assuming) and our leaders can only stay our leaders for a total of 8 years. That is mandated my US Law. Some presidents are better at their jobs then others and in various tasks as well. Each president is charged with protecting, defending and upholding the laws of our country. We are not perfect. No one is. Your country has the same duty. Do I hate you, as an individual because of the actions of your country? No, but your words seem to portray to me, and Creator forgive me if I'm wrong, that you are hating the whole of the US because of the some. Just as I am learning about Islam, the TRUE reality of Islam instead of what is a misconception or partial data, I ask that you consider learning about the rest of America. The good and warm and kind parts. I'm not asking you to love the United States. Just learn the true reality.

i have nothing against the U.S people they do not know about the crimes U.S forces is doing in the secret prison to muslims ...

You are in reference to Quantanimo Bay....oh, we know.....American media is uncensored and images of the torture and humiliation have been widely publicized and huge outcrys against that place is prevalent.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guantanamo_Bay_detention_camp

its good u want to know about Islam .. i suggest u read the Quran .. as you will understand Islam the best through the Quran

What have I ever said that makes you think that I have not read or am not reading the Qur'an?

Just as you would not throw out an entire bunch of bananas because one has gone bad, I ask that you not throw out the entirety of the United States because of the few that make the news. Even the entirety of the government isn't bad, just because some of it is disagreeable to you.

I would like to know what GOOD attacking against Iraq have gave to Iraqi people. Now when USA troops are going back to they democratic and civiliazed country, Iraq has received they part about western democrazy and Iraq is peacefull country without chaos and terror?

Price about this attack is endless suffering to those babies and they families (and as it is very possible still to many new unborn generations) in the areas like Fallujah where those western heroes have used the deplated uranium and other toxical weapons.

p.s. Bin Laden is not Iraqi - so what he and his actions have to do with making life of those Iraqi babies as living hell?

:salam2: JenGiove,

this post by sister harb is just to attract notice on the suffering of the people of Falluja due to the american occupation...

And Im gratefull she has posted it because even if we can not fight evil we as muslims will hate it in our hearts.... what will atleast make us pray for our brothers/sisters insha´Allah! And this is a sign of Iman...

It is written in a very factual way...! And nobody here posted any anti-american comment.... we just expressed our condolences....

So I don´t know why you feel the urge to come to Americas defence...!!! That is ridicules... Have you seen the videos... Have you seen these deformed babies....?

It was the U.S. who invated Iraq... and this decision to occupy Iraq was determined before Septemper 11...

This war is an unjust war... it is a war started against the innocents.... may there are some good guys among those guys who serve or have served in the US Millitary... but this will not change the fact that they have participated in an unjust war.... they are to be blamed for it.... and they will give account for it.... at the latest on the day of judgement...

They did not die for muslims.... I believe everyone joining the millitary has done so because of personal reasons... some to get a naturalization... some because of financial reason... But not to save muslim lifes... You are very naiv if you believe that...
See that is so selfish.... for their own benefit some people are ready to destroy the lives of others....

Many people have lost their lives... many have been tortured... and you can not imagine in what circumstances Iraqis have to live because of this war you call "a war on terror"... I call it a war OF terror...

Sure you can be proud to be an american... but don´t allow your patriotism to make you become blind... cuz this is how you seem to be... if you want to be one of the good examples than I would advice you to reach out to the oppressed... or atleast speak against the aggresive war policy of your country aginst the muslims...

I don´t hate americans... but I hate the pictuires coming sometimes in my mind... of deformed babies... raped sisters... Abu Ghraib.... Allah is greater than the war started against the innocent...

Aid mubarek to all of you...

To me, when I see or hear some unjustice has happened to innocents (and who could be more innocent than babies) I can´t be quiet or just turn my head away - it would be same like I would accept kind of actions and support them.

I would like to know what GOOD attacking against Iraq have gave to Iraqi people. Now when USA troops are going back to they democratic and civilized country, Iraq has received they part about western democracy and Iraq is peaceful country without chaos and terror?

Unfortunately, our language differences prevent me from fully understanding what you are trying to share with me. I truly wish that was not that case. Inshallah your words and thoughts that are contained in them will be made understood to my eyes and mind.

Price about this attack is endless suffering to those babies and they families (and as it is very possible still to many new unborn generations) in the areas like Fallujah where those western heroes have used the depleted uranium and other toxic weapons.

This I DID understand and yes, I feel deeply for all the suffering that this war has brought to the innocent ones. The babies. Here in the states it is not uncommon to hear stories of entire towns destroyed because some companies break the law and do not care for their toxic waste properly. To do what the law demands takes alot of money and some companies are greedy and do not consider the human cost. It is not only the military that used DU tho.

p.s. Bin Laden is not Iraqi - so what he and his actions have to do with making life of those Iraqi babies as living hell?

I apologize for my part in bringing this into this thread. This thread is for the babies, not for "current affairs" that have nothing to do with babies. My exact wording was:
Osama Bin Laden attached the United States. Does this mean he is THE example to look at when a person wants to know what an Arab, defender of Islam, servant of Allah and true believer is?...
....and that was in response to:
...shall i show you the video of the attitude of the U.S soldier that forces every Muslim to fight them .. shall i show you the video of the U.S forces in Iraq using Quran as a target practice ???

...which hassan.raza had said in response to:
Please excuse my ignorance of the Qur'an and Muhammad's (pbuh) teachings but was it not Muhammad (pbuh)that repeated what I *know* Jesus (pbuh) said...something along the lines of "he who is without sin cast the first stone....remove the stye from your own eye, then that of your brother's....remove the plank first from your own eye...leave first and pay your debts to your brother, then prostrate yourself..."

In the end, what matters is that the focus was taken off of the children who need medical care that could improve their quality of life and mental, emotional, financial and educational support for the parents...who, in some of the cases could use medical care themselves. I wonder if Doctor's without Borders could/would help?

I only ask for fairness. I am not asking for love or support, just fairness. In the Qur'an it doesn't it state (I wish I knew the ayah) that every Muslim must carry the message of Allah and communicate it to others? That they must defend the teachings by showing verse? You NOW ask me why I feel the urge to come to the defense of America...?

I have already addressed this. The US is the only one remembered simply because the US Government sent in the most troops.

Would you be so kind as to provide proofs? Sept.11th happened in 1991, the invasion of Iraq happened in 2003.....the Gulf War however started prior to 1991. Two different "war" sorta speak.

1)According to Wikipedia-
The 2003 invasion of Iraq (March 20 – May 1, 2003), was the start of the conflict known as the Iraq War or Operation Iraqi Freedom in which a combined force of troops from the United States, alongside the United Kingdom, and smaller contingents from Australia and Poland invaded Iraq and toppled the regime of Saddam Hussein in 21 days of major combat operations.

2) Once in the military, it is unlawful for a soldier to deny orders. Depending on the level of offense, punishment can range from extra duty to the death penalty. Military personnel no choices and are governed by stricter laws than a civilian.

No, I can't imagine how it is to live like someone else. Can you imagine living here? In my life? In my town? In my traditions and beliefs? No! and I don't expect you too! The most we can try to do is dispel the mountains of incorrect learnings, on both sides, and pass along the truth about one another, peacefully and without judgment. War IS terrifying and I can not imagine living under the constant fear of that kind of loss of life. My own fear of my life is much different but that's neither here nor there (as we say). Bombs and tanks and soldiers walking the streets is not a life I would wish on ANYONE.

1) regarding naturalization:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturalization
Naturalization (or naturalisation) is the acquisition of citizenship and nationality by somebody who was not a citizen or national of that country when he or she was born.

http://usmilitary.about.com/od/joiningthemilitary/f/noncitizen.htm
Question: Can a non-U.S. Citizen join the United States Military?
Answer: Yes. A non-citizen can enlist in the military. However, federal law prohibits non-citizens from becoming commission or warrant officers.

In order for a non-citizen to enlist in the military, he/she must first be a legal immigrant (with a green card), permamently residing in the United States. It's important to note that the military cannot and will not assist in the immigration process. One must immigrate first, using normal immigration quotas and procedures, and -- once they've established an address in the United States -- they can find a recruiter's office and apply for enlistment.

2)Regarding financial reasons:
http://www.kaycircle.com/How-much-d...verage-Annual-Corps-Private-Salary-Range-2010

It all really depends on what you are doing and for how long. Yes, there are some governmental benefits but overall, taking into account the lack of communication to families while working in a combat zone, the risk of injury or death....the money isn't a HUGE factor. If the soldier is single, sure, not a bad pay but $53,000 a year with a wife and 1 child is awful.

3)Regarding death: When a soldier enlists in the military, they know that they may be asked to die for whatever purpose the military deems necessary. We never hear about the US soldier who shields the small child from bullets because the soldier knows he is wearing armour and the child is not. You never hear about the soldier who share their rations with the hungry families because he can get more later. Why? Because it is easier to pass along the negative about anyone than the good. That is where we come in. We, humans, people who care about other people who are not like us need to stop the rumors and falsehoods and make gentle corrections in order for truth to emerge. If, in my speech, I have made inadvertently passed along hate, I humbly apologize to everyone here and beg forgiveness from He who is Oft-Forgiving. Truth and understanding is my only goal.

safiya said:

What makes you think that in my own country, I am not an oppressed person? Persecuted for my own beliefs and traditions? My looks or my manner of speech? What has made you think I have not spoken out against violence to Muslims?

I am sorry that this reply is so long but I felt deeply that I needed to try and clarify my words and attempt to bring accuracy where there may not have been. If I have angered anyone, I regret that those feeling have been brought out. I used many many quotes because I have been taught by other sisters that in order for truth to be revealed, "proofs" are needed.

Not many of you know what I have been doing this holy month, if anything, or why. Probably some of you are wondering why I'm here at all. I am here just to learn the truth about a people, culture, society and belief that I do not know much about. Without judgment. Without hate.

Part of my post what some member here didn´t understand was meant to be sarcastic.

I apologize for my part in bringing this into this thread. This thread is for the babies, not for "current affairs" that have nothing to do with babies.

For those babies, as innocent victims of this dirty war, this is the most current affair as like to they families and still unborn babies.

Calling attacking to Iraq as "defence of USA" is just so ridiculous like non-stop lies of zionist regime when they claim they just "defence they country" by killing thousands of civilians, many of them children. That is not any surprise as we know how close allies are those both countries and how much common they have with crimes against humanity and world peace and security.

Using depleted uranium were mostly against density populated areas:

During a three week period of conflict in 2003 in Iraq, 1,000 to 2,000 tonnes of DU munitions were used, mostly in cities.
Source: wikipedia

So, by this fact, enemies of USA (and they puppet allies) were civilians, ordinary people whose just tried to live they life in they homes.

May I also remind you about history?

Would you be so kind as to provide proofs? Sept.11th happened in 1991, the invasion of Iraq happened in 2003

This terrorist act happened at 2001, not 1991.

And did I not say that I believe that there are also some "good guys" in the millitary.... still this does not change the fact that this war is brutal and unjust and they are a part of it....

the pain I´ve gone through because of this war is huge.... I´m a sensitive person... that is why I don´t care about your troops... even if they are not all bad....

you are right I don´t know you... like you don´t know me.... I don´t kow about your struggle and you don´t know about mine... I apologize if I was ignorant to you but your comment made me angry....

it was not enough that the US forces and their allies bomb out cities and destroy everything there... but no.... they also raped on women.... but not only women... even on men.....!!!! but what the hell they wanted from the small children and teens....

what is most sad is that pepolple was tortured in a very brutal way (and here it does not matter wheter they are muslims or not) and this was done systematicly... not exeptions.... some proamerican muslims keept quite to that and even reject that as irrelevant................. I´ll not name any group...

However I would not be surprised to hear that it was other muslims who told the US Millitary on how to torture Iraqis....

-welcome back, Middle Ages and welcome back Jahilliya!-

about falluja, it´s citicens are sunni muslims... and if there is pain in falluja today than it is because they did not accept the US occupation silently.... may Allah give patience to falluja!!!!

@JenGiove I could only laugh about this:

"Once in the military, it is unlawful for a soldier to deny orders. Depending on the level of offense, punishment can range from extra duty to the death penalty. Military personnel no choices and are governed by stricter laws than a civilian."

what about Abir Hamza.... she was only 14.... do you know her storry....??? And do you know what happened to those who raped her infront of her family and killed her and her entire family.....??? How was they punished.....??? Please....... there is no laws in war....
Abir Hamza was not the first and also not the last Iraqi girl raped by American soldiers.....

see it is not always easy to keep cool knowing all that...

I don´t say America is evil I don´t say all muslims are good (muslims)... again I do not hate all Americans....

there are also Americans like

I also hate when people think all Germans are Nazis...

I just ask for justice....!!!

Safiya,

No, I did not know of Abir Hamza and when I looked her up, I was horrified that somethig like that could occure, to ANYONE. Five members of a unit who's background was as distorted as the the pastor in Florida are horrible examples of the hundreds of thousands of troops that were sent there. But I also found out that they WERE found out and they are being punished. Two members of their same unit but were not involved, one being a woman, were tortured and and beheaded by the "Mujahideen Shura Council (now a part of the group Islamic State of Iraq)" for the actions of their unit members. They were killed simply because they were assigned to the unit.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmudiyah_killings

I don't know your story or the story of your family but I so sad for you for whatever hurt or sin was committed against you. It seems that I am hated by you simply because of the government I live under. Isn't that the same argument you would use towards me? That my government hates YOU simply because of where you live and pray? You feel that my government's actions for that behavior is wrong. Is it not possible that I may feel the same?

I hope that someday your pain is eased, Inshallah.

I will no longer comment here in this thread, since anything I say is judged as wrong before it is even heard.

I don´t know why you put here 9/11 or policy of USA. I have many muslim friends from USA and this is not against any individuals in there.

Using deplated uranium is against humanity as global. Radioactive waste doesn´t respect borders or nationalities. As well Iraqi babies will suffer about it also US soldiers and they babies will. When those US soldiers who served in Iraq and used those kind of weapons have poisoned too by deplated uranium.

Half-life of uranium is 4.5 billion years. Winds and water will spread it to everywhere to our world during this time.

There is your point,if some leader give opportunity to US to control them, why do you think we need to blame US?Aren't we suppose to blame our own leaders?

Brother you have caused too much pain to this sister and of course you know nothing about her except she is an American.Your harsh words can put her off from what she is learning.

ASk yourself, what are you gaining from all these fruitless debates. What are you trying to prove? If you wanna question, then i would suggest you to question your own leader who allow such things. Too bad none of us can do anything about this matter.

Allah has never asked us to discriminate them nor insult them. He asked convey the truth to the disbeliever.

I am not favoring anyone but am favoring the truth. We have to be calm and slow down a bit.

I saw many threads about war and politics. This forum is not for such things by the way. This forum is for us to learn and educate others.

So I would kindly request all of you to think twice before you post any videos or any news. Most of your threads is putting of others from Islam.

Will you be responsible for it?

When you create a thread, make sure it favors everyone in learning Islam. If it is only about showing how bad they are, then we better remain silent.

@sis harb
BY the way about the jokes..i don't find it funny at all..I can easily ask you, what is the difference between you and the non Muslims?

They mock us because they are disbelievers but why do you think as a Muslim you have to do the same?

Did any of the companions did so?Did the prophet pbuh did so?

The aim of this forum is being deviated. The quality of a forum is based on the quality of the members. Please be more responsible and treat this forum as your own home. Give respect to everyone no matter if they are Muslims or non Muslims.

If you have opinion, you may put in the best manner without hurting.I saw many wrote hatred words then you say"i don't hate you"..subahana Allah.

Always remember one thing..You are a Muslim with akhlak..never ever do what the disbelievers do.

Allah knows the best
Assalamualikum
