tti's weapon of destruction: p∀ƎɹH┴ Ǝ┴Ǝ˥Ǝp

There seems to be an aggressive campaign lately here on tti. I don't know what changed, but it is seeming to loose focus on the point of making this site available.

First of all, you have people come to tti with different levels of understanding of Islam. From the non muslim to the muslim who have misunderstandings.

According to the phraseology that is repeated: We take things from the Quran and Sunnah. However etiquette and mannerism seems to be excluded.

so let's explore, from the Quran and Sunnah what I mean:

Allah says:

[saheeh intl] Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.
[16:125]

[Hilali-Khan] Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.

[Saheeh_International] And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."

[Hilali-Khan] And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islamic Monotheism with His Verses), except with such of them as do wrong, and say (to them): "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our Ilah (God) and your Ilah (God) is One (i.e. Allah), and to Him we have submitted (as Muslims)."

These two verses should sum up what tti, moderators should follow. Now if Allah, swt, is telling muslims to discuss with the people of the book with these manners, how on earth could there be a cold slaying of a person statements by just deleting them. It would serve better to correct the person with information from the Quran and Sunnah.

What I find that is a shame, is that if it's not on islamqa.com site than you seem to abruptly end the conversation, instead of doing what Allah has ordered the muslims to do. Surely, you don't need to quote a sheik(to your approval) to answer people back with what is from Quran and Sunnah. You may have had many explanations of verses and hadith to answer questions so why not use it.

It saddens me, when maybe a brother or sister come with some explanation to something that might be off or unestablished, yet we have no way to explain to their misunderstanding because it was completely deleted. Thus leaving a muslim (supposed to be brother or sister) going on in life with misunderstanding. All of this happening because someone who has been given authority over discussion don't know how to answer or are just becoming arrogant.

wa Allah ya'lam

Walikum Assalam: Br.

I have been to TTI for last four months. Every website with a forum on mutual discussions have certain code of conduct. On TTI the priority code is presentation of authentic Islam. We come here to enrich ourselves to the way of Muhammad (SAW) and hence any deviations need to be cut of from being placed on platform.

As you mentioned about Islamic Q&A,I will appreciate all guidelines disseminated form there. I am a revert to Islam but still conducive about all guidelines from Islamic Q&A being authentic.

Understanding and hence application of truth needs complete eradication of falsehood from our inner-selves. Truth and falsehood intermingles will land a thirty desirer of truth to no man's land.

Hence Br. come, share, discuss, gain and apply way of Muhammad (SAW). Yes,there might be sometimes undesirable actions from Team TTI,but be big hearted for here you loose nothing but perceive many things.

Regards.

Wa`alaykumassalam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu

JazakAllaah khayran for quoting the precious verses from Qur'aan I and my fellow muslims should heed to it.

Akhee Sachin has summed it up nicely truth needs to be seprated from falsehood. The Mods here are maintaining a job to teach and maintain the authentic Islam and I am sure their experience here justifies their actions. We had people here before who used the Qur'aan to satisfy their argument and its obvious if you do that your thread gets deleted. If there is a same question with better understanding and explanation on islamqa whats wrong using it then? After all we should seek from Ahl-ul-'ilm

assalamu alaykum,

Jazak Allahu khayr for your advice, although I believe a more thoughtful title to the thread would have been appropriate. Its important for all of us to maintain good manners and to actually sincerely care for each other.

The website has moderation to keep arguments at bay and to make sure that what is shared is in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah. This is what makes us different to other websites, and nobody is obliged to be here. These standards are not up for discussion.

May Allah bring our hearts together and unite us upon the truth.

Wa `alaykum salaam wa rahmatullaah.#

May Allaah grant you Jannah, and raise in ranks.

My brother, firstly I would really appreciate if you do not generalize about the Moderators.

Secondly, I would very much appreciate if you would advise the Moderators or anyone else with Ar-Rifq (Gentleness and Softness). Ar-Rifq is to be soft and gentle in both speech and actions. May Allaah increase us all in good character.

I would like to draw your attention to what Allaahu Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala mentions: When He (Subhaanah) commands Moosa to give Da`wah to Fir`awn, He said:

اذْهَبَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَىٰ . فَقُولَا لَهُ قَوْلًا لَّيِّنًا لَّعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ أَوْ يَخْشَىٰ
"Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed. And speak to him with gentle speech, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah.

And Allaah commands Moosa `Alayhis-salaam with gentleness and to be soft to Fir`awn, the one who transgressed Allaah the most. So, know akhee that none of the Moderators are worse than Fir`awn, nor are you better than Moosa `Alayhis-Salaam.

With that being said, as the brothers mentioned above... The moderators try their best to keep this website free from falsehood. As you rightly mentioned that there are many people: Non-Muslims, confused muslims etc who come onto this forum and if falsehood would remain, then this will only lead further into their confusion.

As for what you said about correcting any mistakes that people post, then simply there is not much time in the hands of the Moderators to correct every single wrong post out there. So, thus moderators edit the thread and remove the link that has deviant issues on it (even though it may have things that are correct too) or delete it if the whole thread is deviant.

I am not saying that the moderators never make mistakes, so it will be good if members of the forum correct them if any does happen. And perhaps doing this in a more private manner will be better rather than bringing the mistakes of the brothers and sisters out to public.

I hope you do not take any offense from my post. And I hope that Allaah increases you in good and makes you from those He is pleased with.

Wassalaamu `alaykum

since I came on tti I learnt very much and I have to say that I've emproved the manners to talk.it helped me in Islam research,I also wrote some things that some moderator deleted, because it was too intimal or out of topic, but I made no problem, because I feel good here.this is the only one forum I really like the most!TTI is the best, because it offers to guests the chance to read, download or simply share some ideas and to get more informated.
I hope it will continue to be so:ma:

I do need to offer an apology, as yesterday I was in a mood, istagfirAllah, were I felt a certain member of tti, was leading to a path that is harmful for him or her self. I felt like showing them that they are being tricked.

Nevertheless, I do apologize, and to hear from mabsoot, mashAllah, *big smiles brother* I haven't seen you around lately and as always you have the best of manners and speech.

.....
Wassalaamu `alaykum

dear brother tariq2005, if I knew who was the one that did that, I would of never posted this way, I would of directly spoken to him or her.

Also I did kinda generalize in a sense on purpose, because there are a number of moderators that have been blessed by Allah to have the knowledge and present it in a meaningful way. I missed their responses and would like to see them more often.

My generalization was not meant to be negative at all, I thought it would be kind that way. And I know that many brothers and sisters are occupied with their lives to.

The website, tti, has been a very nice place, here and there, there maybe rattles or shakes (I mean surprises). I appreciate the removal of deviant sites too.

Today, as I see things, muslims need to communicate more than ever, as there are so many infusion of thoughts and ideas being injected in our brothers and sisters. The only way to correct misconceptions like these is to answer them (links removed of course) and show them what is from the Quran and Sunnah, then in sha Allah they will relieve themselves of this non sense.

after reading this, you delete this thread or re title it to a better name as well as move it to another appropriate section.

take care, and may Allah guide us all.:wasalam:

Wa alaykum salam

Thank you brother *bigger smile* . Its Ok, no need to apologise.

Yeah, I was working on something and now am dedicating more time to contributing to the site once more.

I am working hard on making the website better. I had wanted to wait till we had a better site before uploading and creating new content. In hindsight, may have been better to continue with putting up new things. InshaAllah khayr.

I think the best thing we can do, is use this as a platform, where we can all work together to produce and distribute things that can benefit others.
