Help to find a hadith...

Asalaamu alaikum -

With this silly talk about tomorrow being the Christian rapture, I have been trying to find a hadith to share...

The hadith is something like this: a man approached the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa salaam and asked "O Allah's Messenger, if you were planting in your field and learned the world would end tomorrow, what would you do?" The Prophet s.a.w. replied "Continue planting".

Something to that effect.

Anyone know this hadith? I tried to Google it and well that's just a mess.

Wa'aleika salaam,

Anas, radiyallahu anhu, related [Imam Ahmed] that the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi was salam, said:

"If the last hour comes and in your hand you have a date palm seedling, then if you are able to plant it before that, then do so."

Ibn jareer related from umaarah bin khuzaimah bin thaabit who said:

"I heard umar bin al-khattaab, radiyallahu anhu, say to my father, `what prevents you from cultivating your land.' My father said to him, `I am an old man and i may even die tomorrow.' Umar said to him, `I think you should cultivate it.' [daawood said], then I saw umar bin al-khataab planting with his hands along with my father.'

Do Not Panic
And stay focus!
Stick to the al qur'an and al sunnah.
Do not believe especially the non-believers regarding saying that this world at it End.
Even the holy prophet Muhammad s.a.w didn't know when the world will end!

From Anas ibn Malik said, the Prophet s.a.w. said:

"Age towards the end is a time of confusion.
Man will believe a liar and can not believe people are telling the truth. Humans can not believe people trust and believe in the false ones.
And Ruwaibidhah will be addressed.
"They said," Who Ruwaibidhah it? "Holy Prophet,"
Those who oppose Allah swt honored to speak to the people. ";

Verily Man is in loss -

Except those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, and they recommend one another to truth and exhort one another to patience.

The better is to focus on gathering good deeds
and be kind to one family and loved ones
if one feels the end is near
>which only Allah swt Knows Best!

Jazakhallah khair for posting this Hadith I never read it before mashallah indeed very nice
I find it fascinating how people actually believed in this when even the bible points out this :
"But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36
May the fact that nothing happened be a proof for this people that is arrogance to think that we know these things and inshallah may Allah guide us all to seerat al mustaqeen inshallah
