SUBHANAALLAH! Do you plan on moving back to the UK? If so, can you use that name there, too? If I changed my name, I'd change it to Sumayah. But I think I will save that name for my daughter, insha allah

Actually this name was given to me by a very good friend I made on the internet. It is a blessed name of a Prophet of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala. Peace and blessing of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala be upon Yunus.
I suppose I will have to move back to the UK sometime in the future because whichever country you are a citizen of is your home. I mean if you travel abroad, one does not have the freedom that you have back home. The situation in the UAE and all of the Gulf countries is that they do not issue citizenship to foreign nationals. I love the hot weather here as I can't live in the cold.

So now your profile requires a change of name. Just yesterday i was thinking why a muslim would have his profile name as tomtom. Got the message today. ok.

MashaAllah. May Allah (SWT) keep you steadfast on straight path.
I am struggling for change of my name. Just after reversion someone very beloved to me changed my identity from Sachin to Abdullah.
I haven't yet gone through a legal procedure to finalize my name as Abdullah. It is going to be a risky process for me. This is for the reason that the session court from where I would procure a legal document ''Affidavit'' is constantly monitored by various Hindu outfits.
I love to be called by a Muslim name.
