Did Ulema Najd Really Make Takfeer on the Ottomans?

I am sincere in my question and don't want to stir up fitnah. I ask here, so I can be sure if this is true. Did the Scholars of Najd make takfeer on the Ottomans?

Scholars of Najd: Sulayman bin Abdillah Ibn Muhammad Abdulwahhab, Hamad ibn Ateeq an-Najdi, and others. Did these shaykhs make takfeer on ottomans. If yes, why?

I'm sorry brother, I don't know about the sheikhs you mentioned but co-incidentally yesterday a read a book (more than 1000 pages book) on refuting fitnah poured on Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab. Apparently Sheikh Muhammad wrote few letters denying that he made takfeer. I google and found the same in this website:

I've done many study about Sheikh Muhammad, so far what I can conclude is that Sheikh Muhammad was slandered by some irresponsible people.

Oh wow. I hope not.

Were it not for the Ottomans, Islam would not have spread as far as it did. Granted not all Ottomans were the perfect examples of just Muslims, but that's no reason to make takfeer on all of them.

This is your unscholarly opinion based on limited scope and hearsay.

If we are talking about scholars, then there is a big difference between the ignoramus dirt who create fitnah and are labelled "takfiris", and the ulema' of ahlus sunnah, wherever they are from, who have a right to pass fatawa on such matters.
